Darling Downs Hotel Guide. Best Western Hotels in Darling Downs, Queensland

When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff, who were more than helpful. Given there was a convention in town that weekend, we were advised that the restaurant was fully booked for dinner. Room service was offerred without the surcharge. Meals arrived promptly for dinner and breakfast and were well presented. Room was well presented and had comfortable furnishings. There were also sufficient amenities for us. The fridge, whilst a bar fridge, was of good size for bottled softdrinks, and the like. Even the freezer box section worked! Air conditioner took a little while to cool down room due to hot weather outside and being on the western side of the complex. Sufficient power points located around the room for devices to be charged.

Second time staying at the Ambassador, always clean and comfortable. We stayed in the queen rooms this time. Everything was great except the toilet was terrible! Odd shaped toilet seat makes for difficult wiping! The key (touch card) had either a time lock or the lock was broken because we tried a few times to open but it wouldn't open properly. Bring more milk and sugar because there is only enough for 3 coffees total. Last time we stayed in a big suite and it was lovely so will definitely stay there again, but will pay the extra for comfort because the comfort of the queens weren't as good. (Also the queens didn't feel like queens, squishy!)

Terrific service in a modern facility. Great location in a modern town.

I stayed 2 nights and enjoyed a wonderfully home cooked breakfast both mornings.
