"We often visit but this was our first stay. Was disappointing that accommodation was on a difficult piece of land away from the restaurant and cultural heritage museum. Was too much effort early mornings to trek kms away for our paid breakfast so we didn't have any. Couldn't shower as all showers are outside (too cold to venture outside) and bath water didn't heat up. Furniture needs tlc. Headboard in main room was not clean. No microwave To heat a quick meal. "The photo is misleading and the 4 star rating is inaccurate - it is 2 star. The old house has history and the room with the bay window was very comfortable, but the place is deserted and feels much like a sleepy Australian outback hotel when you have to shout hello to get someone's attention, and the pub is not manned and not open. I cannot comment on other rooms and if you like to be left alone then I suppose it is good value as it is cheaper than other places in the area. There is only breakfast which is rank standard. You have to go out for meals."
