Amazing Place

Where to begin. A completely modern apartment in a historic Alsatian style home. We were traveling with our 3 children and needed to cook meals. This home has the best stocked kitchen in a vacation rental we have ever had, and we have stayed in a few. Bathroom was clean, modern and new. The Beds and bedding were all comfortable and fresh. There are even views of the hill side vineyard out the windows. We were in the area to see the Christmas markets in Straussborg Colmar and Basil. We picked Dambach-la-Ville for it Central location and couldn't have been more amazed by the village. Two wonderful bakeries, a farmers market on Monday. The village could not be more scenic or friendly. By far one of our best vacation stays ever.

Rent, hyggeligt og gennemført dekoreret, Vi satte pris på de to badeværelser, som gjorde tingene praktiske for vores gruppe, Beliggenheden er fantastisk - nem adgang til lokale butikker og smukke vandrestier, Vi tog endda en dagstur til Le Haut Koenigsbourg Slot, som kun var en kort køretur væk, Værten var venlig og fik os til at føle os velkomne, Alt i alt et fantastisk sted til en familieferie!

Ons verblijf in de gîte was zeer aangenaam. Het was schoon en comfortabel, met genoeg ruimte voor ons gezin van vijf. De kinderen vonden het leuk om te spelen in de nabijgelegen parken, en we waardeerden de gemakkelijke toegang tot fietspaden door de wijngaarden. Het incheckproces verliep soepel en de gastheren waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Al met al een goede keuze voor een familievakantie in de Elzas.

Mensen heel aardig, huis netjes met goede bedden en een zeer goed ingerichte keuken. Ruim met lekker balkon. Enige onverwachte is dat het dorp ook in het hoogseizoen uitgestorven is. Hotels en restaurants zijn in meerdere gevallen permanent gesloten. Enige restaurant in dorp gaat pas op donderdag open. Supermarkten op kwartiertje rijden, dorpen met beetje restaurants iets verder. Geen probleem maar zou je vanuit beschrijving anders verwachten.

Die Vermieter sind sehr gastfreundlich und versuchen alles, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Obwohl es ein sehr warmer Sommer war, ging Abends immer ein laues Lüftchen, so dass sich die Temperaturen in der Wohnung aushalten ließen. Die Vermieter haben auch schon gesagt, dass Sie eine Klimaanlage nachrüsten wollen. 36 Grad im Elsaß sind aber auch nicht alltäglich. Ausgestattet war die Wohnung mit Geschirrspüler und Waschmaschine. Schlafmöglichkeiten bieten 2 Einzelbetten und ein Doppelbett im Dachgeschoß (2 Räume) und eine große Schlafcouch in der Wohnstube. Die kleine Terrasse haben wir sehr genossen. Parken durften wir im Hof, es ist aber eine sehr enge Einfahrt. Es sind noch kostenlose Parkplätze direkt in der Nähe. Die Wohnung liegt direkt an der Stadtmauer und damit sehr ruhig, mit Blick auf die Weinberge. Dambach-la-ville ist ein kleines, mittelalterliches Dörfchen, umgeben von einer großen Stadtmauer und mehreren Stadttoren. Es gibt Restaurants und Läden, 2 Bäckereien sind per Fuß ganz einfach zu erreichen. Von hier aus kann man in den Vogesen wandern, Städte wie Colmar, Straßbourg, Riquewhir sind leicht zu erreichen. Auch zum Europapark war es nur knapp eine Stunde Anreise. Überall alte Burgruinen, Wälder und Städtchen mit Fachwerkhäusern. Die Landschaft ist sehr schön, vor allem geprägt durch die Vogesen und Weinberge. Vielen Dank an Sandra und Daniel
