Located on the eastern side of Lake Martin, 1.5 miles outside of Dadeville city limits, and only 3 miles from Still Waters Resort. Also, this property is less than one minute by boat, or ten minutes by car, to Smith Mountain, which opened in the summer of 2011\. At Smith Mountain, you can hike to the top of Smith Mountain and climb its historic and newly restored Fire Tower. On a clear day there is a 50 mile view! The property is only one hour from Montgomery, two hours from Atlanta, 75 minutes from Birmingham, and 25 minutes from Auburn. Numerous great restaurants are only a few minutes away. Enjoy comfort and convenience like nowhere else. In fact, you cannot be anywhere else on the lake, and be as close to Auburn and Atlanta. This property is ideal for two, or three families, or three or four couples, wanting to share expenses and fun! CHILDREN, OF COURSE, ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!!!! This outstanding waterfront property is actually two lake lots combined into a "one of a kind" lake property. It looks out on spectacular south, facing BIG WATER views of Lake Martin. You literally can see for several miles. The large pier has a reputation of being one of THE BEST fishing piers in the entire eastern part of Lake Martin. The pier's year round deep water is what bass, bream, catfish, and crappie just love. Many a huge stringer of fish has been caught from it. The pier directly is partially covered and furnished with tables and chairs, ceiling fans with lights, and electrical outlets, allowing for daytime or nighttime enjoyment! This property includes a large, private, 18' wide concrete boat ramp and launch area in a protected cove on the north side of the property. The gentle slope of the boat ramp makes it an ideal wading and swimming area for your little ones. The property is also only 1/4 mile from a public boat ramp as well, which can be used, if needed, in the late fall and winter when the lake water level is lower. The pier in front of the house has a 16x16 floating dock with stairs that is great for swimming and sunbathing. Also, a 6' X 18' floating water pad is available for group fun!!! The house is fully furnished, including washer, dryer, three TVs with cable and DVDs. Wi-Fi also available. Bed and bath linens are provided. The kitchen and walk-in pantry are stocked with all essential appliances, cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. The two story home includes on ground level the master bedroom with private bath and laundry area, eat-in kitchen, dining and family room, and second bath. On the upper level, there are three bedrooms, a third bath, a kitchenette, and a screened-in porch. The porch is the perfect place for babies and toddlers to play in safety and in shade. The house sleeps ten very comfortably. The MBR has a king-sized bed, the second BR has a queen sized bed, the third BR has two twin beds, and the fourth BR has three twin beds, and the kitchenette is furnished with a roll-away bed. There are both covered, as well as uncovered patio areas. The patio areas are furnished with three tables which seat 12, a bar/pub table with bar stools, a sofa glider, and seven patio chairs. There is an electric and a charcoal grill. Firepit, 3-person "porch" swing, and hammock are other outdoor amenities. Board and card games are on hand. KAYAKS ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE!!!! Up to Seven individuals can simultaneously enjoy leisurely exploring Lake Martin in our six kayaks! Two kayaks are a two-person kayak---perfect for a "romantic" outing!!! A paddle boat is also available! A BOATHOUSE with a capacity for docking four watercraft as well as an 8 x 12 floating dock was just built in the spring of 2023\. The boathouse is on the north side of the property, adjacent to the 18-foot wide boat ramp. There is also a "fish cleaning station" with the boathouse, which has electrical outlet and city water----perfect for cleaning that "mess" of fish you catch! Additional parking area was added in 2023 also. RENTAL TERMS FOR THE PROPERTY: \---Must be 25 years of age to rent the property. Age verification is required. \---$400/night rate is based on nine-person occupancy. CHILDREN ARE, OF COURSE, MOST WELCOME! There is a $50 per/person per/night surcharge for any additional persons above nine people. \---$300 cleaning and laundry service fee is charged, regardless of length of stay. \---A mandatory 10% lodging tax is also charged. \---Two night minimum, except for holiday weekends, when a three night minimum is required. \---Check-In is at 3 pm CENTRAL TIME; Check-Out is at 10 am, CENTRAL TIME. If reservations are not "back-to-back" some flexibility in checking in and out hours may be accommodated. \---ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING is allowed indoors. \---Pets are considered on a case by case basis. The outside view and lake access were wonderful and the fish were definitely biting! Our boys fished until midnight and caught 30 or so fish! Kayaks were included and were great! We also enjoyed building a bonfire in the fire pit with the abundant wood provided. We took our 2 dogs and they had so much fun being allowed off leash to run and explore the large yard and woods surrounded on 3 sides by water. Great rental!! This was a great property with great amenities! The covered pier was a lifesaver (with 2 infants) while the kids swam there was a place to sit out of the sun!!(the pier had ceiling fans also—yay!!) The kayaks were an added treat!! The yard was fairly flat and there were no stairs you had climb down to get to the pier. It was a really beautiful setting!! The inside was adequate. It was clean. The house was located on a peninsula with its own boat dock/house, swimming dock and floating pier. Location was on a less busy part of the lake so boating was easy. Kitchen provided all the necessary things to prepare meals. Two full baths downstairs and the master bedroom and living space. Upstairs had three bedrooms (5 twin beds and one queen) and one full bath. Large screened porch upstairs and a kitchenette. May access the outside from either upstairs or downstairs. Lots of outside furniture for hanging out on the pier or outback enjoying the sounds of nature and watching the geese and eagles. Very relaxing.We have stayed on the lake many times and this was our favorite location so far. Lake Martin is a gem. So much to explore. The shady path up Smith MT was fun and we climbed the fire tower one morning. Could see the house from there and a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Martin. The owners are such a nice couple. We were able to meet them briefly and they live there locally nearby which is helpful. The neighborhood is typically quiet and very safe. I am sure our truck keys just stayed in the truck all week and we were not concerned. We had two couples so each had their own floor for privacy. They brought their dog and even she had a great time! We had 10 adults stay comfortably with plenty of towels and blankets. I appreciated the little things, fully stocked kitchen(including keurig, crockpot, reg coffee pot with filters), plenty of towels and washcloths. 2 tables to seat us all in kitchen and outdoor tables we ate on as well. Extra chairs outside to pull up to tables too. I also appreciated my 2 -80 year old parents could sit comfortably outside(no steps)and could go to dock easily. The outdoor space is worth it. Perfect for the elderly. Lots of covered seating with umbrellas and cushions in good condition. She had blown off all leaves outside and had it nice on arrival. Nice dock seating as well. We fished off the dock, rented a boat and docked it there. We had a bonfire and grilled. Things to note: home has 1 king bed downstairs, all the rest of the beds upstairs. The room set up upstairs is a large bunk area with 3 twins overlooking screened porch, 2 twin connecting to that bedroom and a separate queen room. We all shared one bathroom upstairs. So the screened porch is less accessible with the bedroom right there and stairs or hill to get to it for the elderly. This setup would be ideal for kids upstairs and one set of parents. The home is older with unique quirky decor and paneling, but you can tell well kept and loved by the owner and repeat guests. I grew to appreciate all the paintings and signs throughout our stay. The fixtures and bathrooms are 1970s as pictured, but everything was in working order. ##### Nicki A. Great boat ramp, great two (2) docks, great patio, grill, screened in porch, and easy access from the house to the water. My only complaint, and very minor, is that there is a 100 extra fee per pet. It is listed on the VRBO site and I thought that VRBO would collect it. They don't, so be prepared to pay if you bring a pet. Other than that, everything was excellent. Great location with big open water views, good dock for hanging out or swimming. Location is close to Smith Mtn, beaches and Lakeside Marina fairly close by.
