Step back in time and enjoy the whimsy and charm of our craftsman-style cabin while enjoying the modern amenities, including a new King Size bed in the master! Nestled in the woods, enjoy the view, the beautiful antiques, the stained glass windows, and more! Perfect for couples, families, or a friend's retreat! The cabin was an absolutely outstanding place to stay. Central to many of the waterfalls our crew was here to explore and not too far from a grocery store and restaurants. The cabin was clean and inviting and my kids had a great time looking at all the decorations and the horses across the street. I would definitely recommend the cabin.

Great Cabin!

Our family stayed here to visit a student at WCU. The cabin was clean, had everything we needed, and had some lovely personal touches like the decor. We plan to be back!!

Cozy cabin in the mountains

This cozy cabin in the woods was perfect for a weekend girls getaway. It provided seculsion while also being easy to get to and conveniently located near the downtown areas of both Cashiers and Highlands. We really enjoyed our time here.

Quiet and Comfortable get away

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin, mostly because of the cool weather. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and the setting is very peaceful. The only things we missed were any sort of view or an easy place to walk (other than the road.)

Great property! Easy access to Cashiers, Highlands and all the hiking trails.When you drive up to cabin it isn’t what you might expect but the inside is magical we all enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely!

The cabin on Yellow Mountain is an adorable, beautifully decorated place that met our needs perfectly. In town for a wedding, but wished we booked longer just so we could chill on the front porch or do some hiking in the beautiful NC mountains. Would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

The Yellow Mountain cabin was perfect for our trip. well appointed and easy to get to. well located between Highlands and Cashiers. Clean accommodations, well built, and communication with property owners was good. Will surely rent this again when staying in the area.

Yellow Mountain Cabin

Cabin was easy in - easy out location. Location was half way between Cashiers and Highlands. Small cabin, but plenty enough room....with a lot of character! I wish we would have had longer to stay, but went up for a family member's wedding in Highlands.

Comfortable and Cute Cabin in Beautiful Surroundings

Loved this place! Very clean and comfortable, decorated cute, and in great surroundings. Very peaceful and serene. Enjoyed seeing the horses on the nearby farm grazing in the morning. The rockers on the covered back porch were a great place to drink morning coffee and gaze out at the woods. Wish we could've stayed longer.

Cute Place!

This property was just what we needed for an overnight stay. There is plenty of room inside for the 3 bedrooms to comfortably accommodate our group. The house was clean and had all the basic ammenities you could need. Joy and Steeve were very responsive and helpful! I wish we could have stayed longer to explore the surrounding woods of the cabin!

Wedding trip

We were very happy with our accommodations at The Cabin. We really didn't get to enjoy being at the house because it was a quick come and go. I appreciated the host allowing us to check-in earlier due to a 5:00 wedding in Highlands. We would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is the additional fees added to the nightly fee.

Peaceful Paradise

My wife and I were looking for a quick trip to get away for the weekend and just relax. The Cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. The rocking chairs on the back porch are the perfect cure for whatever ails you. The cabin is remote, but its just a short drive to both Highlands and Cashiers. Lastly, the cleanliness of the cabin was great. We are already looking forward to returning when we can stay longer.

Wonderful space for family gathering

Family members from Georgia and North Carolina met at this cabin for our Thanksgiving gathering since it was centrally located for all of us. Though the kitchen was much smaller than we expected, it ended up working out great and we thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. The host was excellent and worked with us for early check-in on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you to Joy and to her housekeeping service for making our family gathering possible. We look forward to staying here again and highly recommend it to others.

Charming Cabin

Great cabin for our family to relax after busy days exploring the beautiful area. As others have already mentioned, the kitchen is small, furniture is older, the downstairs bedroom has an open entry, and the fireplace gives off a smoke smell even when not in use. However, we expected all these things and had a very comfortable stay. We especially enjoyed relaxing and bird watching on the back porch rocking chairs and visiting the two horses across the street. We hope to visit again!

Christmas Getaway

We (my wife and two grown children) decided to meet somewhere central for Christmas and we chose Yellow Mountain Cabin. We're glad we did. We all enjoyed ourselves in the relaxing and tranquil location. The cabin was clean and well-appointed, and accurately described in the listing. Would love to see it in the summertime, so look forward to going back in the future. The owner was quick to respond to any emails.

Quaint cabin

Exactly as advertised. 15 minute drive gets you to Cashiers or Highlands. Everything worked. Comfortable beds. Small but functional kitchen. Very clean. Did smell like a wood burning fireplace (since there is one) so sensitive noses take note. Would absolutely stay here again.
