Wake up slowly with a cuppa on the couch, and when the urge to jump in the water strikes, you can walk right down the back steps of the house to the golden sands of beautiful Culburra Beach. There you can swim or just float under perfect blue skies whilst your four-legged friend runs for kilometres on the dog-friendly beach and the kids splash in the waves. When you come back inside, your only difficulty will be deciding how to relax; Malda’s isn’t short on areas to recline: with a large backyard and shaded outdoor dining table for enjoying the sunshine; a comfortable living room just inside the sliding doors where you can enjoy the light coming in through floor-to-ceiling windows in all directions; and a sitting room with beautiful wicker couches around the combustion fire for colder days. Step outside and make the most of the spa for a relaxing afternoon soak with a drink in hand. When mealtimes come around, cook up a storm on the BBQ to dine on the outdoor dining table, and enjoy the beautiful sun in the fully-fenced backyard and garden that extends out past the spa with deck chairs to read or sunbake on a yard big enough for a game of footy. Once you’re fed and rested, it’s time to see the sights; the shining sands and sparkling waves continue for kilometres around Jervis Bay, so go on leisurely walks along the shore and breathe in the fresh sea air for as long as you like. We stayed during the cyclone rain bomb and so spent a lot of time indoors and with the wood fired stove keeping us warm and making smores. The beach was amazing and the builders next door were friendly and caused us no problems during the stay.The house was well equipped and we coped with some small leaks during the torrential rain and had all the mops we needed - presumably rain that bad is a one in hundred event.All in all for a wet week it was great and we will book again. ##### Mark U. It was the first time we took our fur babies away. They were excellent and loved it too, I can tell. We enjoyed the open rooms and windows. Spa bath was great. Hot tub was great. Room for all of us to chill and do our own thing. We played card games at the big dining table. Perfect. Great kitchen and comfy beds. Thankyou ##### Melissa W. The guide says we can go and buy our own and be reimbursed. That might work if you're staying at a YMCA, but not at a property charging what Malda's is. There's a complete lack of attention to detail. The back door lock is broken so you can't lock the house when you go to the beach. In each bedroom, one of the lamps was broken. The remote to the TV was held together by silver electrical tape. The windows were dirty, the spa bath hadn't been cleaned out. In the bathroom, the soap, shampoo and conditioner were all empty. Culburra Beach is a great place for a holiday, Malda's is not. If you're holidaying in Culburra, I'd look elsewhere - there are plenty of better quality, better priced properties that do look after their guests and do have the requisite attention to detail ##### Rick L.
