This place was EXCEPTIONAL.!! I really enjoyed the staff they were sweet, friendly and extremely helpful. This is the place I will be staying when in Cuenca. Everything was a walk away.

Hotel Victoria was lovely and in an excellent location. It was spotless and the service at the hotel and restaurant was superb. We enjoyed using the upstairs sitting area outside of our room and the view from the balcony was fabulous. The only reason we did not give Hotel Victoria at the highest rating for comfort as the bed was a bit hard for our preference.

The service is top-notch, especially all of the front desk staff. The amenities and room are comfortable and on the nicer side for Ecuador hotels, wonderful breakfast and bar area with established staff. Beds can be firm everywhere in Ecuador so don't hold this against the property because the pillows are great; as well, there is noise if on the street side (because it's so convenient for old town walking naturally), but it quiets down by about 10pm so it's acceptable if you want a larger family suite, and the convenience of being so close to the riverwalk and the main city attractions/walkable, which is key. Everything overall was so wonderful that we would definitely come back for a future stay.

All the staff was wonderful, starting with Victor and Flavio at the reception, Robert in the dining room, and the cleaning crew who’s name I didn’t catch. We arrived late evening with our child sick from the flight to Cuenca. Victor helped send an excellent tea to help with the nausea and stomach issues as well as a soup and drink for the parent who stayed in the room and couldn’t go out for dinner. Great hotel, comfortable and clean rooms and bathrooms. It felt just like being home. Right next to the Remigio Crespo Toral Museum and the Historical Center.

Loved the location...an easy walk to parks,restaurants, transportation, and shopping. It was a charming, well-maintained hotel and the included breakfast was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. I honestly cannot think of a single area in which improvement would be recommended.

The property has a great location, just above the river that traverses the city and within walking distance of the historic core of Cuenca. The breakfast served in the restaurant is outstanding. The staff was very helpful in setting up our day trips to Ingapirca and the Parque Nacional Cajas, as well as arranging our transportation to Saraguay. My only criticism is that there are few hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes while bathing.

Hotel Victoria was fabulous -- great location in Old Town Cuenca, beautiful furnishings, professional and friendly staff, delicious breakfast in the downstairs restaurant, reasonably priced. Incredible view of the city from my room. Highest recommendation.

Excellent choice in Cuenca!
Perfect central location, free parking, lush garden, rooms and dining overlooking the river. Old-world style, modern comforts. Great on-site restaurant with good-value and high quality daily 3-course specials.

Hotel Victoria is an outstanding, historical hotel above Tomebamba River and 4 blocks from Parque Calderon in El Centro. Great location! Restaurant food and very good and service outstanding. Highly recommended.

Location was wonderful with the city center within easy walking distance on level ground. We were pleased with the restaurant with good menu and well prepared food. Staff was always courteous and concerned that we were pleased. One thing of note is that we were not allowed to leave our waiter's tip on a credit card. We had to leave the tip in cash. This was the case in many establishments in Ecuador. Bring plenty of tip money with you as it is sometimes difficult to break large US bills while in Ecuador.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and restaurant. But you have to be lucky to get a nice room. All room.are different. Manu of them are terrible. My first one was cold, I asked for another instead. The 2nd one worst than the one before.. this time too warm.. I felt like in a sauna. Both or them without plugs to charge cell phones or similar. Finally after a terrible night they gave a nice room, with nice view and good weather. Next time I will look for another hotel in Cuenca. Any ways the staff were very polite and frienly.

Excellent old world hotel with unique decor, fresh flowers throughout the hotel, wonderful breakfasts served in a dining room with a fantastic view, friendly staff and very accommodating to our needs. Central located in the old colonial city where you can walk to all of the important sites.

Amazing staff. Friendly, polite and very helpful. Very nice hotel. Only downside is too much street noise over the weekend but it's liveable. Great food at nice restaurant downstairs.

Another Fine Stay at Hotel Victoria
We've stayed at Hotel Victoria many times and never been dissapointed. Even when we did not get the room that we originally booked we were still happy. It's not super modern and doesn't have the amenties of a world class or even a chain hotel....but it's SUPER CUTE & CLASSY. It can be a bit noisy but that is true with other Cuenca hotels we have stayed in. Great location & breakfast. The staff is friendly and well trained (and English speaking).

Nice Hotel
This hotel has a good location close to restaurants, bars, etc. The rooms are warm and charming. Very romantic and well decorated. I will love to stay there again if I need to return to Cuenca.

Amazing 5 Star Hotel at a value price
This hotel is rated as a mid-range price hotel.....It should be in the 5 STAR Category. Upon arrival they sent a staff member with my husband to the secure parking around back. They then served me a welcome drink and chocolate & same with my husband when he came up from the parking. It was white glove service the entire stay. Dinner that evening was excellent the service outstanding....breakfast was delicious and service outstanding once again. Our room was huge with a very large terrace which was outstanding the evening views of the city and river below. Staff was always there to help with anything we had asked about. Staff spoke several languages Spanish French English. Cannot say enough good things about this place. If you want a 5 Star experience at a very low cost you must stay here. Located in the historical part of the city which is also a plus. Very safe area never felt uneasy at all in this area.
