    This marvelous waterfront home nestled right on the water with its own private island is calling your name for your next relaxing vacation with your family or friends.

    The River House has plenty of space to accommodate up to 16 people comfortably! The updated open floor plan is ideal with separate master wings, both with walk in showers & two-person jacuzzi tubs! You will feel like you are in your own secret oasis with private water access, so bring your boat & dock it off the island or rent one for your stay from our friends at Blue Gator.
    If motorized boating is not your thing you can enjoy the 3 kayaks, 3 paddleboards and large canoe plus tubes provided with the property to float down the river. If you need to escape the hot Florida sun, lounge on your covered patio, or relax under a tree in a hammock.

    Once you have enjoyed the water & outdoors all-day head inside to cook up a delicious meal in our updated kitchen complete with double ovens, granite countertops, flat stovetop, breakfast bar, traditional coffee maker, and Keurig, crockpot, & more. We absolutely loved the house! There was plenty of room for our family. We liked that the water was steps away from the back door. During our trip the water level off the back deck was about waist high. We were able to hang in the water and enjoy each other and the surroundings. My son loved paddle board around the private island. All and all, we had an amazing time.

This property was such a great place to stay with kids! The living area was spacious, with plenty of seating for everyone. There were plenty of bedrooms, clean and newly remodeled bathrooms, a large, well-appointed kitchen and a beautiful view of the river.The outdoor seating was awesome, with numerous seating areas and great view of the river. The Rainbow river did not disappoint. The water is crystal clear and delightfully cool. We saw otters, gators, turtles and numerous water birds. The kayaks and paddleboards provided by the owners were very convenient!The house is perfect for large family gatherings and the owners were very helpful with quick communication and great tips for enjoying the area.

The Fountain of Youth

The location is beautiful. The house really lets many people enjoy themselves at the same time. The availability of kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, tubes, and a rope swing were fantastic and really let us enjoy the water. Also, the way the island gave a beautiful view and some privacy from the river were peaceful and enjoyable! The large round table easily sat 10 people and we even squeezed 16 in for one meal. The lazy Susan was a fan favorite! We loved, loved, loved our stay here.

I brought my whole family here and we had a wonderful time! We were able to cook a bunch of big meals on the grill and sit at the table where we could all face each other. We love the circle table with the Lazy Susan in the middle! It was so nice to just get right on the river and not have to go to KP Whole or someone else to get in. Well worth the money!

We enjoyed our stay. The home was clean. We loved the large table to eat and play games. We thought about all the stores the table could tell about all the friends and family gatherings. We loved using the paddle boards even though we brought our own boat. They were fun to use. One Thing as a suggestion : The cushions on the outside couch and love seat and chair could be replaced.

Excellent 4th of July Weekend on the Rainbow

We rented this lovely home with 3 other couples for the July 4th weekend and enjoyed our stay very much. Although we brought our pontoon boat, we spent most of the time on the back deck or floating in the river behind the house. We used the host's kayaks and paddle boards for an up close look at the wildlife along the river. Amber is an exceptional host and we have already booked our trip for next year at this great home.

Lovely getaway!

Had so much fun with family at this beautiful home! You truly cannot beat the location, the river is so peaceful and absolutely stunning! There were plenty of towels which was nice because so many rentals do not have those. My only issue was there was not salt, pepper or foil which I know something that is guaranteed but it is nice when it’s already there so you have what you need in the kitchen. With all that being said, I would definitely book again! The host was also so accommodating and very responsive which was very nice.

Best vacation rental on the rainbow River!!

This home is truly the cleanest,most well appointed home we have rented on Rainbow River for the last 5 years we have been coming here.It was our 55th wedding anniversary and all our children and 11 grandchildren were here.We cooked together,boated to the head springs, and watched the kids from our back porch run,jump in the river that was not too deep and kayaked all day long.It was a magical vacation and all agreed we would do again next year!!Thanks Amber!!

This is our 3rd time to stay at the River House! Everyone LOVES it! There is room for everyone. The location is the best on the river! Great for littles all the way to adults! Paradise on the river!

This property is a jewel. We were a party of four families and the house had plenty of room for all. The oxbow was the perfect place to relax and play in the water either before going out on the river or at the end of the day. The owners were wonderful; when the gas grill stopped working they delivered another grill within an hour. I can’t recommend this place and the owners enough!

Everyone enjoyed their stay , the house was very comfortable for the ten of us. Their was so much to do , fishing , kayaking , tubing , swimming , and the four children ,ages five to eight ,were very safe crossing over to the island and playing. Our family has been gathering in Dunnellon for 5 years now for Thanksgiving and our rental this time was the best rental we have found by far. It was so great we have already booked it for 2026! The property is beautiful, the house has such a great set up for a large group with so many great spots to sit and relax and catch up with extended family and friends. The pool table was an awesome place to hang out, as was the fire pit, the porch, the deck and the river! It’s simply gorgeous! And the kitchen and bedroom set ups were perfect for a big cooking extravaganza. I especially appreciated the extra towels and blankets that were all soft and cozy and piled up ready for us to use. Thank you to the host for being so easy to work with and for sharing such a special home with us.
