"The Air conditioner worked. That was good. However, we were concerned to find debris on the bed … bits of sand and some dead bugs on top of the sheets. The bed is right underneath the A/C unit … maybe debris blown onto the bed when the A/C was turned on?
The office was closed by the time we noticed at bedtime, so we could not change rooms or request fresh sheets (the sheets also had stains on them). As a result, we just shook out the sheets outside and remade the bed. No mattress pad so the bed was a bit uncomfortable. The room was a bit shabby as well … chips and scratches in the paint on the walls, especially by the closet doors.
The staff was great at check-in and check-out and the bathroom was clean. Overall, not a great experience, but not absolutely horrible either."
"Triggerfish was great. We stayed one night transitioning from Caye Caulker to flying home. The pool was wonderful to lounge in on the provided floaties. We were able to walk to a great restaurant for dinner. The breakfast prior to our departure was perfect."
"This is a beautiful spot close to the airport. It has tons of potential but is in need of maintenance. We enjoyed the breakfast and lobby. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome."
"Near BZE - ideal for a layover if required.
Staff were kind & professional. Surprised they could not recommend any providers for diving / snorkel activity in the Cayes - thought they should have a “link” or recommendations (got it from GOOG).
We were unable to get a river cruise (to see Manitees) as their boat was out for repair (ended up canoeing upriver for a mile & back). Given the small scale of biz, I suspect they have to be informed ahead of time if you want to rent their boat."
"Lovely hotel with nice pool and several food and drink options. We were only staying on our last night so we'd be close to the airport. The only complaint was we were in a back corridor with hallways that echoed and we could hear our neighbors. "
"A wonderful stay at a very interesting resort. Alligators in the river our room overlooked. A slight hiccup in the food bill, but thanx to an honest manager, we were refunded straight away. The food was awesome. Loved our stay, thank you, we will return "
