"This hotel is beautiful and has so much potential. I used to stay here regularly when visiting the area, but the services provided have been cut way back. There is no more valet parking, our room was never serviced, the towels (although clean) were very, very old, and the in-room dining leftovers/service items we placed in the hall were still there three days later and not picked up until we talked to the front desk. The room showers are fantastic, but 2 out of 3 toiletries were empty and we ended up buying our own when it became clear the room would not be serviced. It was very hot when we were there, and the lobby AC seemed not to be working. Our room AC also struggled. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful - we felt so bad for them sweltering in that lobby. Maybe this was just a bad week for us to stay there - if not, hopefully management is able to bring this hotel back up to the standard we've experienced in the past."

"The Fox Den was perfect for our stay in Farmville! The property was just as described in the write up and photos. Nicole and Brian were very responsive to answering questions and helping with any issues. This was perfect for our stay and we will certainly check availability here first the next time we visit. We hope to visit again during the fall season to take advantage of the fire pit and enjoy what I believe is some beautiful fall foliage from the front porch rockers!"

"Home was well stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen, towels, bedding, etc. The only thing is that the listing says that it can sleep six people which is possible, but I would recommend no more than five adults or four adults and either two kids on the pullout couch or one adult. There was a pack and play if you had an infant, which could be the sixth person, but definitely would be uncomfortable for two adults to be on the pullout sofa as it’s not a regular pullout sofa with a mattress/linens but more of a slide out trundle from underneath with the same material as the couch. Communication was wonderful and accommodating! Even had trial size toiletries in the bathroom, a tire swing and a few welcome snacks on the counter. Will definitely consider a future stay if we are in the area!"

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at Joyful Escape. The home looked just as it did online. The property was beautiful and the environment was very peaceful. Everyone that stayed and those that came for our gathering was amazed, some asking how did I find this place. WE LOVE IT!"

"House was good! couple minor things but nothing that was detrimental to our stay. Contact with the guest contact was terrible, I called Saturday and never got a call back during our 7 day stay!"
