LAKES (10 min)
Crescent Lake and Odell Lake for swimming, boating, paddleboarding, and fishing. Rentals available at Crescent Lake Resort and Odell Lake Lodge and Resort.
WINTER SPORTS (15 min)
Willamette Pass Ski Area for skiing, sledding, and cross-country skiing. Nearby Gold Lake Sno-Park for snowshoeing and groomed trails for XCtry skiing.
WATERFALLS & HIKING (20 min)
Salt Creek Falls —a short walk to one of Oregon’s tallest waterfalls, plus scenic trails. Diamond Peak Falls (3.7mi loop) is also a must-see and accessible from the Salt Creek Falls parking lot. For a beautiful view of Odell Lake, park at the Gold Lake SnoPark lot on Hwy 58, and hike to to the Odell Lake Viewpoint (snowshoe or XC ski in the winter).
EXPLORE (45–60 min)
Lava Caves, High Desert Museum, and Bend’s in-town rafting, tubing, wakeboarding & paddleboarding; plus outstanding dining places, shopping, and breweries are worth spending a day.
FISHING & Lakes (20–60 min)
Fly-fishing at Gold & Davis Lakes (20 min). Larger lakes (Wikiup, Crane Prairie, Waldo, Hosmer, Diamond, Paulina, East), all within 30–60 minutes.
