It was so peaceful, and we saw a number of fish and a possibly a manatee. We wanted to show our son who lives just 20 minutes away a great place to relax away from the city - he loved it! We visit another historical place as well as return to the Edward Ball Wakulla State Park each time, so we still have a lot of places to see when we return to relax. This river house is absolutely amazing! It is located on a quiet stretch of the Wakulla River, just minutes from Crawfordville. The house is spacious and well-appointed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bedrooms are comfortable, and the living room is excellent for relaxing or watching a movie. The best part about the house is the location. It is right on the river, so you can swim, fish, paddleboard, or just relax on the dock. There is also a beautiful boardwalk that leads through the woods to the river. We loved spending our days exploring the river and the surrounding area. The host, John, was amiable and helpful. John provided us with some great recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. We had an absolutely fantastic time at this river house. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Florida. I highly recommend it!
