Unplug and unwind at the Steam Donkey Maple Cabin, a cozy off-grid retreat in the heart of Sayward Valley. Surrounded by towering trees, the cabin offers a peaceful escape with a front deck and fire pit for relaxing evenings and stargazing under clear skies. Inside, enjoy a comfortable bed, table with stools, extra chair, and a desk with a coffee maker and kettle, powered by a large battery for lights, coffee, and phone charging. Cooking isn’t available, and there’s no Wi-Fi in the cabin — though it’s accessible at the nearby Cable House. The shower and toilet are shared with other cabins, 100 meters away, and the outhouse is 20 meters away. Step outside to explore the Kusam Climbing Trail, local walking trails, the nearby river, or the ocean. In winter, hit the slopes at Mount Cain, or enjoy summer hiking and adventures less than an hour away.
