With luck you could spot a Cassowary. Saraswati's is set within the surrounds of the Daintree National Park. You are provided with the full facilities of a self contained house. Rate includes: linen, towels, wifi, tea/coffee, filtered water. Saraswati's is 100% off the grid and run on solar with back up generator, guests are asked to use water and power considerately. There is possibility for generator noise around 6pm until batteries are fully charged. Bed was comfy, good wifi signal, no telephone reception but that was a bonus as was falling asleep to the sounds of the rainforest. Location was about 40 minutes drive from Cape Tribulation along a scenic road where we had multiple cassowary sightings. Cow Bay itself is very close by and so are other small walks, eating places and the general store. Overall a great place to stay, would recommend and would love to come back. Do your shopping in Mossman or Port Douglas before you head over the river as supplies up north are very limited.
