There is a very varied buffet three times a day. Quality and variety of the food is outstanding. The staff is very pleasant attentive helpful without being in your face. The surroundings are very pleasant and very clean. They really take the sanitary precautions of Covid very seriously. Really nothing much that we didn’t like. Our room a standard room was spacious with a clean and modern bathroom. Bravo

The place is really neat and all,but if you dont speak French do not go there, you will be mostly ignored by almost all of them ,their customer service to foreigners that aint French are terrible. I thought it was only happening to us but as we were about to check out the hotel i see other people there that were complaining aslo, if you dont speak French they will give you wrong orders and delay you,attend to other people and ignore you, i can never go there ever again ,i was planning to stay for a week but after 2days of bad treatment, starving because i cant get my food order right ,i had to leave to another hotel. I know golden tulip hotel is good ,ive been to many good branches in different countries, just this particular one or maybe the country that is terrible to non French speaking customers. Then all the workers will try to cheat you if you are not understanding the currency very well.

Dear madam, dear sir , Good morning , I am the general manager of the hotel and I just read your comment and completly knock out by it. I am sorry you had a feeling of bad treatment because you were not a French speaking persons. Firt , please allow me to explain that even if not everybody ins fluent in english a good amount of our staff do speak English and certainly would not cheat people or look down at them because they do not speak French. please look at all our review and you will see that many foreigners are visiting our hotel and none complaint about bad treatment because they did not speaK French .I like to ad also that we do , since 1 year have an English teacher from Nigeria in house to try to improve the knowledge of English language in the hoteL However , I like to appologize again , as you feel badly treated and can only ask you to contact me, Christian Quemener , general manager , gm@goldentuliplediplomate cotonou.com Thank you best regards,

Cotonou Business Trip
Golden Tulip is a very night hotel with an amazing friendly and professional staff. We stay there quite a bit and the many of the staff are the same from more than one year ago. They make us feel at home.

The only downside about this hotel is the internet. For such a nice hotel and high rates there’d is extremely poor internet.

A nice escape in Cotonou
The hotel is one of the nicest in Cotonou. The pool area is clean and well-maintained. The lobby and restaurant are clean, open and inviting. The guest rooms are quiet, cool and dark - however our bed did have a pretty annoying squeak. The service at the restaurant, especially when sitting outside, could use some improvement (we had to ask for a menu twice). Overall though, the staff are friendly and attentive and most of them are English speakers as well.

Been here over two weeks, and it’s a very comfortable hotel. Food at the buffet is good, although repetitive. Staff is extremely outgoing and accommodating.

good business hotel
good hotel. its a little pricey for what it is, but since they are the only real business hotel left in Cotonou they can charge what they like. the rooms are great, service is good, internet works reliably. Food is ok. I'd say eat out and not in the hotel. There is a pool but it's enclosed by walls so not very pleasant. Stay here because you need a reliable business hotel, not because you want to hang out here.

It is true that actually we do not have any other hotel in town which can be compared with ours but I can assure you our balance quality/price is excellent. We have just added some colors and comfy pool sittings which are making our pool area more welcoming. The total control access to this area is a security point very important for our guests.
