Loved the area and proximity to the Financial District and Union Square shopping. I felt safe during my stay as a solo female traveller. Only downfall is the rooms weren't quite as nice as they looked online. The furniture could use with updating, coffee cream in the fridge would have been lovely and perhaps more rugs to cover the cement floors. Otherwise, will likely return as the pros offset any areas of improvement for me and the price was reasonable for SF. Thank you for a great visit! (1,004 reviews) From check in to check out, the staff was amazingly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay feel special. I arrived at almost 6pm after a long day of meetings. The sipping hour ends at 6pm, so the front desk gentleman quickly checked me in and tried to get me a cocktail. When I told him I don’t drink alcohol, he went in back and got a sparkling cider for me. I honestly would have been pleased with just the gesture, but it felt very special to be accommodated like that. Plus, the room was gorgeous and the bed was super comfortable. My only regret was that I could only stay for one night!
