This was the Provincial Hospice of Oviedo (1752), now a very pleasant and elegant hotel. Very convenient to the center of Oviedo (which seems like a nice and prosperous town). Our room was large and comfortable. Hotel has its own parking (which was usable, for a change). Excellent breakfast buffet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Internet connection was good. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely historic hotel
A lovely historic building with a great open lounge area. The weather wasn't great otherwise the outside area looks like it could also provide a fab alternative for food and drinks. Also an excellent location with only 10min walk to the old town plus the bonus of having adequate underground parking.

IVery well located historic building. Good service. Buffet breakfast was okay, not great. . Bathroom was unacceptable. Bathtub shower was impossible with all the water getting out and no place for toiletries. I would not return for the inconvenience of the bathroom.

This is not a 5 Star Hotel - 3 Star at best!
We stayed 4 nights just before the Premios Princesa de Asturias, where the King of Spain was going to stay at the hotel the day we left. This is not a 5-star hotel. Our air conditioning didn’t work, and their solution was to give us a noisy fan which didn’t cool the room. We did not sleep well. We heard everyone who turned on their water in their sink or shower as well as the toilet flushes, walls are very thin and not sound-proof. The breakfast was not bad, but it is all self-serve buffet just like a true 5-star hotel! This property needs a huge overhaul to come anywhere close to 5-star standards. The location is great and within walking distance to everything. We saw social media comment of the Princess complaining about how much the hotel was worn and torn. I’ve enjoyed other Eurostar properties but this one doesn’t live up to their nor my standards!

Fantastic hotel! It is a very old, remodeled building with a beautiful Old World palace feel. The rooms are spacious and have great amenities. Breakfast was delicious. It is close to shopping and cultural sites. There is an amazing park nearby for evening strolls. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

Nice hotel in Oviedo
We booked this hotel last minute due to flight cancellations and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The staff were very nice and accommodating given our late arrival. The hotel is beautifully decorated, it felt like we were in a palace. Our room was big and location of the hotel is great. Con: the air conditioning didn't seem to work and it got toasty at night.

Fantastic hotel.
This is an amazing hotel. Delightful room, easy parking. Very helpful front desk. The evening meal in the restaurant was average and very expensive. Breakfast on the other hand was great. Good selection to suit everyone. Close to the old town. Overall the best hotel on our trip so far. Would definitely stay there again

Nice hotel and staff. No valet service. Fortunately one of the staff helped to unload our bags and take to our room while we took vehicle to a parking garage. No working a/c in the rooms, was told it’s cool enough outside to open the windows.

True 5 star hotel with great parking
This is a superb hotel, a true 5 star hotel with one of the most majestic lobby we ever seen. Parking is very convenient even though at extra price. We were treated very nice by the whole staff and would not consider another hotel while in Oviedo.

The building is a stunning antique convent and staying here was a unique experience for us. I believe it reopened or opened about 15 yrs ago and there are spots where it is showing some wear and tear. The hotel also seemed to be short on staff which is becoming more common everywhere. Parking is easy, secure, and straightforward. Gym is like any hotel gym. Very small but sufficient to get a little workout in. Breakfast is buffet style and excellent.

My husband and I have been coming every year to this hotel for the last 7 years and we really enjoyed, everything is good about this hotel , specially that it is an Historical hotel within walking distance to the beautiful Oviedo Cathedral and excellent restaurants and not to mention the beautiful San Francisco Park, in the middle of the City of Oviedo. The director of the hotel La Reconquista , Ricardo Silvestre , was very nice with us , Thank you Ricardo also for my Birthday he sent me a tray with all kinds of goodies on it.to our Suite . Pros: - Central location made it easy to walk everywhere. - The hotel has a lot of history and character; an abundance of works of art displayed all over. - Staff working at the reception desk were very helpful; gracias Aitana y Pablo! - Breakfast offered a great selection; Maria and Cecilia were wonderful! - Rooms were very spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet; we asked for adjacent rooms and were accommodated beyond our expectations. Cons: - Wifi was very slow, especially in the hotel rooms.

Service and lack of attention was lacking and extremely disappointing for a 5 star hotel. The cleaning staff forgot to leave fresh towels and to replenish the tea and coffee, no one at reception picked up the phone when I rang from the room, and the temperature of the room was too high to sleep and the dial for controlling it was not working. On top of that, the internet was either poor or not working at all during my entire 5 day stay at a supposedly Premium room.
