Cortez Beach

This hotel is brand new in Clearwater Beach and perfect for families ! It had only been opened about 5 days prior to my family and I checking in. The facilities are great and clean! The staff is kind and willing to help you with anything that you need on the resort. There is a full kitchen , washer and dryer available for use during your stay. And all the TVs are equipped with your favorite streaming apps and services, we stayed in the Deluxe 2 Bedroom suite with the Marina view and the views are absolutely gorgeous! My kids were attending summer camp at Clearwater Aquarium and we could see them when they went out to snorkel and kayak! Location is perfect as far as views and proximity to Pier 60 , and the other local restaurants. We will be back next year !

I loved the location. Check in was a little slow because there was only one person manning the desk and the phone was ringing. I was under the impression that I booked a 3 bedroom villa with an ocean view. When I got to my room, I was disappointed because there was no view. Apparently, if you book through Expedia you have to explicitly state your preference (ocean, marina, or city view). This was not my understanding and so I was disappointed because the room as expensive and the main reason I made the choice was for the view and proximity to the beach. I enjoyed being able to walk to the beach every morning to see the sunrise. The coffee bar was also a great amenity. The other negative aspect of my room was the loud noise the A/C made. It sounded like we were at an airport when the air kicked on. I loved that the hotel offered beach umbrellas, chairs, towels and beach toys. It really made the beach day so much more convenient, especially with 2 kids in tow. If I were ever to stay here again, I would ensure the room accommodations I book are actually the same as I receive. All things considered, I rate it 7/10.
