We loved this home and staying in OBX, but the check in process was awful compared to what we are used to in OBX. The property was supposed to be ready between 4-6pm and despite calls checking on timing, the reps we spoke with were entirely unhelpful at providing updates and we were never given an actual check in time. 6pm came and went with no contact from the realty company. I had to call VRBO support while at dinner with all my kids and finally got check in information around 6:15. We’ve been going to OBX for years and never had a check in later than 4pm and typically if the owner knows we are on-island, they allow check in earlier. This was the complete opposite and didn’t set our trip off to a great start. The week improved from there and we enjoyed the house itself very much. The kids loved the pool and it was an easy walk to the beach.
