As part of the Villages at Ocean Hill community, your stay also includes private access to the beach, two swimming pools, a snack bar, fitness center (with small fee), tennis, pickle ball, volleyball ,basket ball courts, a playground, and a little community fishing lake. There’s only a 2-minute drive to the 4X4 Beach Carova Beach access where the wild horse sanctuary is. The neighborhood has wonderful natural trails that will lead you to the sound. Wonderful paths that are wide enough for walkers and bike riding. There is a new adventure park with lots of activities for kids and adults. Our house is 3 stories with the top floor being a nice open floor plan, high ceilings with plenty of space. It features multiple decks to enjoy, a hot tub and outdoor shower. You can also take advantage of an outdoor charcoal grill, gas grill and picnic table. The living area comes equipped with a flat-smart screen TV, DVD/VCR, stereo, and lots of games and puzzles. And of course, there is free WiFi. The second floor has three bedrooms one being a very spacious master with a king size bed, a nice size bathroom and a deck. The other two bedrooms are spacious as well. One having a king size bed and the other a queen which has it’s own deck with a hammock swing to sit and relax on. They share a full bath. The laundry is also on this floor. Downstairs has two bedrooms. One with bunk beds, the bottom being a full size bed. The other room has two twin beds. The game room with a Foosball table is down here and a full bath as well. The home comes with all bed linens and towels for inside the house only. We had a wonderful week with 8 people at this house. Plenty of space - the living area is much bigger than the pictures show. Large table for 8 for meals, plus kitchen bar. The kitchen is awesome - very well stocked with everything you could need for the week. We grilled several times and the grill was clean and well maintained. We loved all the decks around the house and used them all. Access to two pools is nice - short walk to both. We had grandparents with us that sometimes found the walk long but easy for us and our kids. Beach access is great but we needed to drive with all of our chairs. Parking pass provided and always open spots so it was easy. We walked to the beach several times without all of our beach stuff and that was easy. The house was very clean and well maintained. The hot tub was a bonus for us and we all enjoyed it. The host contacted us via text with a minor AC issue and was very nice and responsive. We would definitely stay here again! ##### Kelly G. The beachside pool with bathrooms and shade is fantastic, plus you can park at that location to avoid the long haul with all the beach gear. You would be hard pressed to find a better value in this neighborhood than this house. Every beach house we have stayed in needs attention of some kind (the salt air is unforgiving on the house exteriors and decks)! Yes, this house could use some updates and general repairs, but the value is phenomenal. House layout and furnishings were good. A 2nd fridge would be a great add for the basement. This house does not have a pool, but there are 2 pools in the community to access. It was not a super far walk to the beach (fine for our group with the youngest children being 8yo). If you had toddlers/babies then it may have been a farther trek than you would want BUT that is why the beachside parking/pool is fine to drive and just walk onto the beach from there. Comfortable beds, working AC, functional kitchen and a fantastic neighborhood - what more can you ask for! The water pressure for showers was amazing FYI. I would stay again! ##### brian s. The kids loved having a neighborhood playground to pass some time, and the pool was easy to get to and nice change of pace for a couple of days. We brought down more than one vehicle with our group, but you’re only allowed one parking pass for the community parking lots. Not a huge deal, but just a heads up if you’re coming with a larger group. Overall, we had a lovely stay! ##### Kristin D. Owner is easy to communicate with. Kitchen well stocked and most furniture comfortable. Five minute walk to beach. Our group thought the basement could use a larger dehumidifier (just because we had to empty it often) and that the shower heads could be updated - although they are perfectly functional. We loved it! We had an excellent time at Totally Beachin'! The location is wonderful with a boardwalk and path through Currituck Banks Estuarine Reserve AND a beach access within walking distance (both have parking lots as well, if you prefer to drive). The house is away from the commercial areas of the OBX with amazingly dark star filled skies at night, but is very close to the lighthouse and restaurants. The beds were extra comfortable, and the boys loved the foosball table! Cathy was very responsive, and it was overall a great experience. We hope to return. Thanks again! ##### Andrea C. The owner was prompt in returning my messages & answering questions. The home was exactly as described in a lovely neighborhood. We met several of the neighbors while staying there & they were all very welcoming. We enjoyed the nature trails and the proximity to the beach. our family of 10 had plenty of room, so that we never felt like we were all on top of one another. I was off season, chilly and rainy, but I am sure that this spot is amazing when the weather is right. Walkable to the beach, volleyball, basketball, tennis and children's playground. Also walkable to the estuary and two minutes from the 4x4 beach. We had a quiet and relaxing week, but can't wait to come back to enjoy everything that Corolla has to offer. The bedrooms were large and comfy. Kitchen was amazingly well stocked. Never did find the private beach, and the gentleman where you registered had no idea what we were talking about. Convenient to shops, grocery stores and restaurants. The weather was perfect! It was a very relaxing vacation despite the construction next door. There are some items that could be improved upon. I would provide more than one dish towel and more wash cloths would be nice. The powder room sink faucet is dripping if you don’t get it turned off just right. These are minor things and this is not meant to be a complaint.
