Better than the larnaca crown resorts
Great location. WiFi was good on the first day then went downhill from there. TV only had one English channel (news) both local channels (pik 1&2) we're missing. Teas coffees and water in room were only available on the first day. Coffee and tea was available at breakfast but was hit and miss either too strong or to weak (chef's choice not yours). Breakfast select was good. Covid restrictions we're advised but not policed.

The hotel location is fantastic and Bus services are cheap and reliable (so no need for taxis ) hotel is dated however and needs modernising ( the rooms in particular need updating and must include better air con and a fridge and water on daily basis ) In hotels defence its still very quite due to COVID 19 and the staff made it far more enjoyable whilst we were there.

Petty extra costs in tired looking "4 star" hotel
Hotel clearly in need of a total refurbishment. They really are angled at the all inclusive market rather than B&B as we were. Extra costs were irritating: want to use your room safe? That will be 2.65 euro per day. Want your tea & coffee facilities in room replaced each day? That will be 2.40 per day. Silly stuff that belies its self proclaimed 4* status. Wifi was free but unusable in our room. Tip: best reception was in the lobby and the restaurant. Staff always polite as they advise you how much you will have to pay if you want those little services you would have expected to be free. Perhaps not surprisingly the hotel is being sold at auction in March. Any new owner will have to invest heavily to bring it up to a true 4* standard. However, its location is great and it could be a marvellous rival to its swisher neighbour hotels. But not as it currently is. It looked fairly full at breakfast time though so perhaps others see it differently. I would not stay there again as it currently looks and operates.

The only positive's are the position of the Crown Resorts Horizon and the staff. The negatives are endless. This is def not a 4* possible 2/3. The roons are very grubby and need decorating, the room was covered wjth ants worse still cockroaches down the corridor. The lifts are touch and go quite a few people got stuck. There is an awful smell of sewage which was reported by various people but nothing seemed to be done. Corridor bins not emptied. There is too many things to mention. Would def NOT recommend this hitel i feel totally ripped off

The choice and quality of food was excellent and staff were pleasant and helpful. Very large and comfortable bed, linen changed daily. No tea, coffee or milk in room except on arrival. The air conditioned rooms were very welcome as we had high temperatures during our stay

The staff were friendly,helpful and efficient. Thank goodness there were plenty of restaurants nearby as the food was very disappointing. Not the 4star standard we have come to expect over the years.

Poorly maintained but good location
The room was old, not very well-maintained, not very well-serviced. When I checked in, I found there were some tissue trash in the bin in bathroom; carpet is very old and felt a bit moist; a free bottle water is provided but only on the first day; there was no TV but only a small monitor that has 12 cable channels. Check-in counter lady staff was very considerate and professional. Lobby was very warm and not well airconditioned (because they keep most of the doors open). Waiting for taxi in the lobby and eating dinner in the lobby area made me sweat because it was very warm. Wi-fi was very bad, often it cuts and I couldn't use it. Every night, from 8 - 11pm, there was a loud event near the pool with a singing and some kind of lotto numbers being shouted on speaker and music. Location was good, near the beach and walking distance to a nice cafe (from front gate) and many restaurants (from back gate) nearby. There is also a reasonable local supermarket to buy sandwich, drinks or snacks.

The pool was unusable. It was empty. There were no kettles in the room. You had to rent them! Although we went all inclusive you had to pay 8 euros to use the snooker balls! Daylight robbery. The food was awful. Would not go back there again.

Going downhill fast
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have been happy there, unfortunately this time we were rather disappointed with the condition of the hotel and the lack of serving staff, although the staff tried very hard they could not cover for the shortfall.

Pleasant modern hotel not far from beach with a nice pool area. Breakfast is a let down with poor cooked choices. The staff often look unhappy and communication is difficult.

Air con disaster
Hotel was ok apart from the air conditioning breaking down in our room. Having a 1 year old with us, we had to get another room with working air con. It was a bit of hassle as I had to move the cot from 1 room to the other. Plus the 2nd room was not sea view which we'd paid for. Apart from that, the hotel was good.

Perfectly positioned hotel. Near to the beach and right out the back gate onto the lovely strip of bars and restaurants. The hotel facilities cover everything; relaxing indoor pool and spa, a good little gym, with all the equipment you need, beautiful outdoor amenities, and perfect outdoor pool

Awful
Shabby hotel, has had no maintenance for a very long time. Definitely not 4 star. Very out of date rooms, safe in room but have to pay to use it. No mini fridge. Tiny balcony. Scuffed marked walls. Pool area was lovely. Staff at reception polite but not friendly or engaging at all. Breakfast very average. Bar across the road played music until midnight, windows not double glazed so very loud in the room. Location otherwise good with lots of restaurants and bars and beach nearby. Overpriced and definitely overrated.

We have a apartment in Peyia but my husband treated us to a stay over Xmas in this hotel as I was recovering from a serious operation, this was to be a rest. Checking was fine paid extra for all inclusive. 1st. Food was cold even the soup, 2nd beer was flat, asked about tea making facilities told I had to pay €2.50/75 daily and I thought it was all included. Luckily we had booked Xmas lunch out of hotel as when I asked others about Xmas day lunch they too said it was cold. It was really a waste of money but to be fair I presume we got upgraded to a sea view room. It may be ok in the summer but not winter entrainment was on stage to the side so didn’t get to see much. The hotel probably needs updating.

Typical 3 star, don't go all inclusive
Excellent location, close to lots of restaurants & bars with good tribute acts every night. Hotel is typical 3 star. Breakfast buffet is acceptable ( nothing cooked to order). Entertainment is terrible, and evening food is a buffet - would suggest B&B and eat out. There are lots of alcohol deals outside the hotel. Close to a lovely sandy beach with watersports. Nice pool. Lots of parking. Don't forget to take your own beach towel!

It was obviously a lovely hotel once. Now very tired and in need of updating especially the beds which are incredibly hard. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were kept reasonably clean. Breakfast was appalling. Rubber eggs. Square bacon. Tinned fruit in syrup and even the beans were inedible! We tried the breakfast twice but in the end paid extra and ate out - thank heavens we were only B&B

Great location near beach, restaurants and shops .
Stayed on B & B basis which was great as so many good restaurants within easy walking distance. Bed mattress very hard and hotel a bit tired looking but no real complaints . Enjoyed the stay and would come again.

Wheelchair access was not bad when you wanted to move about around the lobby but the bathroom was small, the pool area was v.cramped and the person pushing found the ramps to be quite steep. The safety rail in the bathroom came away from the wall in the bathroom about 7pm and it took them until about 4pm the next day to fix it. Great bar, pool and restaurant staff but will look elsewhere next time

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Terrible hotel we changed two rooms as the showers didn't work and air con didn't work then bed had stains on and carpet had stains on the hotel was very dated in need of a massive make over .,no free sun beds screaming kids and no room to move broken umbrellas .music way to loud at night .food option was terrible and no food for my vegetarian girl friend

Good experience would stay again.
When we booked in we were told on the booking form that we had a double bed but ended up in a twin bedded room, (not so much of a problem because we were only staying for one night. I was some what surprised that there were no coffee making facilities in my room (why) I thought this was a normal practice.?
