Bedroom in loft with king bed via stairs Living with wood fire, TV streaming services & WIFI Kitchen is well equipped eat in kitchen with dishwasher & large chefs stove Bathroom is compact with tub, toilet & washing machine Office Area with desk Outside sitting area with fire pit overlooking the garden BBQ & hot tub\* (see note below) The PLACE : Staying in the township of Coonabarabran can be noisy at night with trucks and cars passing through however we don't hear that at all on this property. Please feel free to ask any questions before booking. Set on 2.5 lush park like acres just on the outskirts of the township of Coonabarabran, this is a very peaceful place with a unique cottage experience. The amazing trees and birdlife make this a place to relax and take in nature and the night sky - the view from the outdoor setting is quite spectacular and all you have to do is look up. Inside you'll find a very quirky and eclectic space that's cozy, uniquely furnished with rugs, lamps, antiques and artwork and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well set up and spacious complete with a 5 burner stove with large oven, and a range of other appliances and utensils even a traditional fondu set. The dishwasher makes light work of the dishes while you relax in a hot bath or in the hot tub outside (extra charges apply see below). The bathroom is complete with shower over bath and an amazing waterfall shower head, washing machine, handbasin and toilet is compact but very functional. We provide all the linens you could need with 100% french cotton sheets, plush doonas and blankets for the coldest of nights, however the fireplace easily keeps the entire cottage warm day and night. Outside the amazing trees and gardens surround you and the birds hop from tree to tree. Light the fire pit after dinner and enjoy the show in the sky. GUEST ACCESS INCLUDES - 5 meters around the accommodation, carport, and then directly down to the fence in front of the accommodation however please don't access other buildings, vegetable garden, or through gates. Other Things to note before booking : \- There is a wood fire for heating that is very efficient - we provide wood, kindling, fire lighters, matches, gloves and instructions for you and will generally have it alight when you arrive. We do not permit guests to bring heaters into the property as there is potential for electricity failure and fire hazards. \- The hot tub needs to be ordered prior to arrival date - 48 hours notice is required for hot tub \- There is a fold out leather futon in the living room for extra paid for guests plus linen and blankets provided on request \- Parties aren't permitted and we ask outside noise be kept at a considerate level - it's a peaceful place. \- Only those booked into the accommodation are permitted on the property - please no extras or invited visitors and no parties or loud gatherings permitted. \- We cannot accept your animals at all as we have livestock on the property. \- Security cameras are present on the exterior only of the property - Located on a property just outside of the main town, the cabin is very well equipped, we particularly liked the full sized kitchen. The pantry included some basics such as teas and coffee. The cabin has a main bedroom in a loft (people with mobility issues will find it difficult to access up the ladder/stairs) with a day bed in a sunroom that can be left set up, or a sofa bed in the lounge area. The cabin was lovely and warm our entire stay (July) thanks to the wood fired heater (wood is provided) and the host Mish made sure it was lit and warm for our arrival.Communication with host Mish was exceptional and Mish was always available to reach out to if needed (everything was good for us though)Phone reception for us was patchy (Telstra). Limited WiFi is provided at the property, but is not suitable for heavy downloads or video streaming.Overall we loved our stay in this cabin and we will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Coonabarabran. The woodfire was easy to use and kept the place cosy overnight.Downstairs, the daybed and sofabed were good for the kids while we appreciated retreating up the stairs to the loft to fall asleep in a very comfortable bed. The cottage, being 4 mins drive from the main part of Coonabarabran, meant it was peaceful at night and lovely to wake up to birdsong and a curious rosella at the loft window.There was lots of colourful artwork and books, the kids enjoyed the board games and also the large garden...also befriending the horses next door. The cottage was large enough for four of us to be together and also had separate areas for downtime. It was less than 30 mins from Siding Spring observatory and the Warrumbungle national park, and took about 12mins to get to Donna the Astronomer's stargazing show.We left after four nights feeling like we'd had a relaxing change of pace from city life, but with all the comforts of home. ##### Malcolm B.
