Had a wonderful stay at Bream Cottage.
The Cottage was clean and tidy and well appointed.
The view was amazing.
This was our second visit and wont be the last.
Beautiful little cottage right opposite lake and children's playground. Value for money. Spotlessly clean. Dont forget to take your own linen!

Bream cottage overall, is a great holiday let, with a few exceptions. The location could not be better but the online listing and the photograph of the exterior is not accurate. The whole property needs a lot of maintenance to be done. The carport needs cleaning out, the whole place is being overtaken by climbing plants .and the water is undrinkable. .
Cute little place in a great location and lovely clean house for the family. Very grateful for the pet-friendly policy and enjoyed all the walks along the water. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
The check in was easy. The 2 bedroom cottage with lake view was very clean and provided everything we needed. The shower water pressure was amazing. There was air con in the living area. All kitchen appliances were provided. There was a washing machine and dryer. It was an extremely present stay. The only thing I would have liked was curtains or blinds in the bedrooms as the ones there were very sheer and the sunlight coming through in the morning made it difficult to sleep past sunrise.
We had a wonderful time in Bream cottage, very peaceful place just across from the lake. The place has everything like your own home would.
Only 30 min drives to some amazing beaches. (Seals Rocks was our favourite).
We decided to stay another night and it was very easy to contact Clara & Jeff.
The most calming place I’ve been in years - just what I needed. I’ll definitely be back - maybe with someone special if I feel like sharing!
Would also be fabulous for reconnecting with a couple of little kids.

Away from the maddening crowd
Fab location. Would benefit if some basic supplies were available especially if small local store is closed (ie milk etc). It’s a long drive into Forster and return.

If you are seeking Blueys or Boomerang beach expect to doing a bit of driving each day.
If not, stock up & just enjoy the beauty & peace & quiet.
Great little family friendly clubs around the area.
If you had a boat you would do little driving.
We stayed here for a big family gathering.
The cottage is in a nice location near the lake, it’s peaceful.
Lucky someone mentioned to take bottled water as the filtered water tap gave slightly brown water and the main kitchen tap gave water browner again.
The pillows on the queen bed were not very comfortable and the single beds were rather firm.
Spent 4 nights here, great spot to take the kids fishing and unwind. Beaches are 20 minutes away if you want a day out on the beach. There is a small convenience store for the basics otherwise foodworks is 20 away.
The cottage is small but all we needed with a great balcony overlooking the lake, bring your mosquito repellent or you will be eaten 😉. Would be great if the matresses were replaced as you can feel the springs in them and some new pillows as they were flat and unusable, also the floor was dirty so we mopped on arrival. Besides that we had a good stay, don't forget to try out the brunch Cafe at the community hall on Sundays, good people and a great breaky.
The Bream Cottage provides a quiet getaway in peaceful surroundings with a large waterfront parkland
The cottage was extremely clean and tastefully furnished with the views from the front veranda showcasing spectacular sunsets and water views which were appreciated as a wonderful backdrop whilst enjoying a leisurely wine and idol chat. The access was easy and the kitchen was well supported with all the cooking requirements. The only slight dampener was the pillows in the main bedroom were poor quality and felt as though they were well worn but next time we'll bring our own.
We felt very relaxed within a short time of arriving with the overall ambiance of the cottage and location conducive to holidaying, special thanks to Jeff for his support whilst we were there and his prompt service. We will definitely be back and next time armed with fishing gear!! Thanks John & Sophie
Nice location next to the lake, very peaceful, I definitely recommend it. A few details that would make a difference: add basic useful things, like pepper and a proper sponge in the kitchen, shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. There is no wifi, so a few more DVDs would be nice.
Then, the kitchen sink has 2 water outflows: one is a bit brown, the other one salty. We assumed there were both drinking water, but a note on it and on which one to choose would have help.
Note that there is no lifevest for the canoe, so technically it is not allowed to use it unless we bring our lifevest.
Knowing all of this, we'd still go back.
