"The Berrico stay was one of my absolute favourites. A perfectly quiet, secluded farm stay which is what the soul needs sometimes! The little cabin was modern and very comfy. A great bed and shower! We loved sitting around the fire pit each afternoon looking out towards the hills. Alan and Eva were the most friendly and accomodating hosts, who took us on a ATV tour of the whole property, giving insight into the surrounding area and how they run their farm. It became more an experience rather than just a stay. I have to note, we never felt pressured to have lots of comms with the hosts, they were super respectful of space but were open to having a chat and showing us around. True country hospitality and we will be returning! Thank you for a great stay. :) "
"The house was clean anf well-equipped. Linen was high quality. Unfortunately there had been poor maintenance of insect screens: several opening windows lacked screens, others had screens which fell out, and others had holes in the screens. Consequently the house became a beacon for flying insects in the evening - but we were unable to close the windows as the house information instructed that the air-conditioning not be used after dark. This detracted significantly from our enjoyment of the property - as did the ant infestation in the kitchen."
"I would have stayed a week if I could have! More time to enjoy more cups of tea on the deck with the sound of birdsong and the gently flowing river below. This place is idyllic. Feels like the most secluded, peaceful place, but 5 minutes drive from the nearest pub or bakery.
The owners were helpfully responsive to my email enquiry before our stay, but left us alone to enjoy the experience when we were there. The cottages are well away from the house and the garden is designed so that the cottages are fairly private from each other. "
"Sure! Here's a shorter version of the review:---A Secret Place to Slow Down lives up to its name, quiet, cozy, and beautifully set in nature. The space was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly relaxing. Close enough to Gloucester’s attractions but tucked away enough to truly unplug. The hosts were kind and attentive. A true hidden gem, we can’t wait to return!"
Be amongst nature in the 1890s farmhouse - a time you will never forget.

"Unfortunately for us we stayed whilst a severe weather event impacted the entire mid north coast of NSW so our hiking and mountain biking plans weren’t able to be met. The property is as presented and very comfortable. Our hosts were also very communicative and generous in allowing us to stay longer, should we have needed to, due to the significant flooding in the area. Very much appreciated. "
