"Room wasnt cleaned properly stuff under the bed but staff was friendly and the location was perfect."

"I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. Upon entering the room, there was a strong unpleasant odor that seemed to be masked with air freshener rather than properly addressed. The bed sheets were visibly unclean, with multiple stains. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, I was told they could replace them, but that all available sheets are stained but they are "clean". Additionally, the shower showed significant signs of mold, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. While the lobby and common areas appear well-maintained and visually appealing (except the chair and sofas they look dirty), the condition of the rooms does not reflect the same standard. I believe management should invest more resources into maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of guest rooms."

"We enjoy staying at the Padre when visiting family in Bakersfield. It’s a Bakersfield institution, and dog friendly. The rooms are big and comfortable. "

"We stay here anytime we visit our family for holidays. I will say each time we have come to stay the pool amenities are not the best. The hot tub is not in good condition, and the pool is always dirty. We have yet to enjoy the pool in 3 years. But it hasnt stoped us from staying here because we enjoy the restaurant and how close it is to downtown. "

"This property is old and needs updating. It has bare minimum furnishings. No Refrigerator, No collapsible or rigid luggage rack, 3 towels for 2 adults for 2 nights, dirty, bathroom floor, dirty windows, bare minimal if non existing any longer the feeling of "Welcome". This was the nicest HI at one time. Now? not so much. And the addition of the 7/11 style store in the lobby with overpriced junk food made our stay more like a cheap motel. There are a lot of less expensive hotels close by that are new and welcoming... No longer worth the effort, hassle and/or expense. The Loyalty to the Holiday Inn system has gone away after this weekend."

"We ate at the hotel resturant but we had to pay. It wasnt a part of the the amenities in the hotel. The staff that took our order where not friendly at all. Regarding the hotel, it was very clean and i enjoyed the pool."
