"Stopped overnight on our way down to our own place in the Charente. Plenty of parking around the chateau. Very pleasant staff and a lovely friendly German Shepperd dog to welcome you. Room was very clean, spacious and a most comfy bed and pillows. We had a lovely dinner in the evening but wanted to get on the road early in the morning so passed on the breakfast, so can't comment on that. Lastly, nice decking area to sit out on in the evenings."

Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal, but personally served it to us. Upon our departure, we were offered a private tour of the Chateau by the owner. The owners, their new puppy, and sweet dog were lovely hosts. They provided a custom and unforgettable 24 hours. "This overnight stay was a stop over from the south of france up to Calais, very easy to find and was a comfortable stopover to break our journey . Meal was good in the restaurant in the evening. "

"The host was very nice and spoke good English. Our room was cramped and somewhat dated. The toilet was separate from shower area and both doors had to be closed to navigate around the bed. Breakfast was great. There was a close-by restaurant where we had a dinner. It was really very nice for the price!"
