Casa El Algarrobo offers total privacy, features a fun and very private pool with a small waterfall, and several terraces with BBQ, pizza oven, and an outdoor kitchen. As the weather in this region is exceptionally mild throughout the year, you can usually enjoy cooking or having aperitifs outdoors. The terraces and balcony provide the opportunity to enjoy both sun and shade throughout the day. There's something for everyone. Plenty of garden furniture is available, spread across different seating areas. The view of the Sierra Tejeda is truly phenomenal, so if you really want to relax, this is the place for you. Casa El Algarrobo has a spacious and bright living room with a cozy open kitchen. It includes an oven, microwave, double sink, electric stove, fridge/freezer combination, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, wine rack, and all necessary kitchen utensils. Next to the kitchen is a storage room with a pantry, washing machine, ironing board, and iron. The bright living room features a cozy lounge with a ceiling fan, radio-CD with USB plug, satellite TV, fireplace, and comfortable seats, including a double sofa bed. The dining area has a wooden table with typical Flamenco chairs and a cupboard. The bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with bunk beds, open onto a balcony with a fantastic view of the surroundings. There are wardrobes in both rooms. Bed linen is included in our rental price. The living room windows have mosquito screens and shutters. Air conditioning is available on a 'pay per use' basis. The bathroom has a very spacious walk-in shower, toilet, bidet, and sink, and is fully tiled. All bath towels are included in the rental price. Only large beach towels need to be brought by yourself or can also be rented from us. Casa El Algarrobo is located in the beautiful surroundings of Comares, voted the 'Magic Village' of Spain, and near the hamlet 'Los Ventorros'. In Los Ventorros, you will find bars and restaurants. In Comares, there is a supermarket, bakery (bread baked in a wood oven!), pharmacy, bank, ATM, doctor's consultation, and various bars and restaurants. There are also a sports field and paddle tennis court. Comares is known for its unique location and is often called 'the pearl of the Axarquia'. Follow the ceramic footsteps through the narrow alleys of this white village and discover its Moorish past. And don't forget to stop occasionally in one of the cozy bars. Bread can be delivered to the house every day except Sunday. Pets may be allowed but only after consultation and a stay fee must be paid. Within a forty-five-minute drive from the house, you will find the multiple award-winning beach of Torre Del Mar. You can eat freshly caught fish in one of the many chiringuitos and enjoy a day at the sea. All the 'highlights' of Andalusia are just a day trip away from the house. Malaga, Cordoba (Mezquita), Ronda, Granada (Alhambra), and the Caminito del Rey in Ardales can be easily visited. Closer, you can visit Nerja (known for its beautiful caves and its Balcony of Europe). The commercial center of Velez-Malaga is just 30 minutes away by car. For those who love shopping, this is the place to be. All well-known supermarkets are also represented here. The beauty of nature here is overwhelming and invites you to relax and enjoy. If you desire a holiday in total privacy, surrounded by almond and olive groves and views of the impressive mountains, yet not too far from restaurants and shops, Casa El Algarrobo is the ideal house for you. Very comfortable inside and a fabulous outdoor space with outdoor kitchen, BBQ etc where we spent the majority of our time taking in the incredible views. Very private and peaceful. The pool is an added bonus and not so cold that we were able to use it from the start of our stay in the last week of April. The location is rural, but just a few minutes drive to beautiful Comares where the small supermarket had everything we wanted and there are good restaurants. Susana and Antonio were very responsive and helpful when we needed them ( power cut and change of kitchen fluorescent light bulb). A great vacation. The details were very accurate and it is as pretty as it looks. The instructions to get us there were perfect and Susana, who looked after us, was a perfect host. Communication with the owners prior the visit was swift. I would say you need to get a very good map of the area. The roads can be confusing and quite steep and narrow in places, typical of mountain roads. However, it was all worth it. The views are stunning and the local towns beautiful and interesting. We stayed for a week with two boys. The pool was just right for them to play in for the week. Kitchen fully equipped, lots of towels and bedding’s etc. Susana was sooo helpful in any way, especially in helping us finding the house as we got lost in the mountains on our way to the house. Travelled with my small dog, which was able to get under the gate, but in two minutes Antonio fixed the gate, so I could let my dog out without any worries. Got firewood delivered to the house and almost every day a van came by the house with bread you could buy, luxury. The only negative things, pool not as big as the pictures shown. The driveway is very steep. The roads are very narrow and curvy, so you need to be an experienced driver. But with that said, we so enjoyed our stay in the house in the mountains. ##### Hanne B. We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay. Communications with Antonio were excellent as were his directions to the villa. The villa is everything we hoped for. It is totally private with a small pool and superb views of the mountains from the terraced garden. There is a fantastic selection of cooking options outside to include a bbq, pizza oven and gas burning rings. The villa was comfortable, well equipped and clean. We were met on arrival at the villa by lovely Vi who explained everything to us including arranging for fresh bread to be delivered every morning by the baker from the next village. We had a couple of embarrassing user-error issues (locked ourselves out/couldn’t work out how to turn the hob on) and after contacting Antonio by phone he immediately arranged for lovely bubbly helpful Susana and her wonderful partner to come and help us. We were so well looked after and not made to feel guilty for contacting them. We found the small supermarket in Comares has almost everything you need but for a large supermarket shop to buy the beautiful fish etc we drove to Velux Malaga a couple of times. Almonds, olives and mangoes grow in abundance around the area and the peace is glorious. The views from the patio are quite spectacular and we enjoyed so much watching the sunrise and hearing the wild birds, (even the morning Cockerell and egg layers!) that abound.
