Softball weekend
3 sets of softball parents stayed at the house in place of a hotel while our girls played college softball. The house had plenty of space, was clean and although away from the business of town was close enough for groceries, restaurants and any other conveniences you may need. The host was very responsive to our questions and extremely accommodating!

Fantastic Gathering Spot!
Three families with kids between 8 & 18 have made this our annual gathering spot for a weekend. The house has great character and openness. The grounds are spectacular! Katie is great with communication and quick to respond to needs. Highly recommend!

Country Farm House
Very nice 1880's farm house with modern kitchen. Great country farm views off the back porch. Only 15 minutes to anywhere in Columbia. We will be back, thanks Katie.

Roomy cozy contemporary farmhouse
Very roomy, yet cozy setting. Loved the kitchen and open living area, where we could all relax together, yet not feel crowded. Loved the large covered back porch, where we had a lovely breakfast.

College Graduation Family Get Together
This was my first time planning a family get together and it was a WONDERFUL success!! Glen Acres Farm was a perfect setting for our family to gather after my son’s college graduation. The hostess was easy to get ahold of and helped me plan and organize this May graduation weekend with a kind and calm spirit. Thanksgiving and MU Football
Wonderful property! Close to the highway and Mizzou, but private and the (adult) kids were able to throw the football and kayak and be loud. Lots of space. Great kitchen for our group for a big meal. Will definitely book this place again. Thanks, Katie!

Great Weekend Get Away
Great place to spend time with the family and relax. The house and the property has plenty of room to accommodate larger size family gathering (We had 7 adults and 3 children). Plenty of great views over the pond. Our boys enjoyed the kayaking and fishing. Our host was responsive and very accommodating. Five Stars!!!!

Fantastic!
We were in Columbia with extended family for a few days, and really enjoyed our stay at this home! It suited us very well, and we really enjoyed relaxing and playing games on the porch. It was the perfect place for us to stay.

Spectacular view, peaceful and serene, very convenient access to Mizzou
Wow! What a fantastic place! We brought our large family to Mizzou graduation weekend and can't say enough great things about the facility, host, and property. Spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a group of 12. There are great views of the horse paddocks from the huge bay windows in the cathedral ceiling living room and plenty of space on the back porch. We grilled for two nights over charcoal, and the kitchen is perfect for preparing large meals. The lake is clear, and I caught a few bass and sunfish; it is an excellent deck for sunbathers, and the college kids loved paddling around on kayaks. I had a great conversation with the hostess, Katie, and it's evident that she takes excellent care of the place. She's a wonderful lady. It's a working horse farm, so other people come and go from the property, and we watched them exercise, wash, and ride their horses which were neat. Glenn Acres Farm was the perfect place to host a Mizzou graduation weekend get-together. Still, our family agreed we would come back for an extended stay because it was relaxing and comfortable. Just a delightful place; I would book again anytime.

Charming Historic Farmhouse with Modern Amenities
The property was perfect for our needs! We were in the area to attend the William Woods University graduation with relatives meeting us there from KS, IN and TX. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The new family room/kitchen addition was a perfect gathering place for us in the morning and evening. The charm of the historic farmhouse with the modern amenities made for a great stay. We felt right at home! It's approximately 20 minutes to Fulton and only a few minutes to Columbia, so a perfect peaceful location in the country. I would definitely stay here again!

Country but town
It was nice to be out in the country with farm ponds and horses around you. But close to town to get supplies. Had campfires and enjoyed the front porch. The fishing was fun and easy to get to.

Owner Was Very Difficult
The house was beautiful, along with the property. I had to give it a 1 stare review because our deposit was kept. The owner stated that the house was a not cleaned after we left and there were a lot of fly in the house. 1. The house is in a rule area, and a horse farm- there are going to be flys on the property, and I don't know how to keep them from getting inside the house? 2. We pay a cleaning fee (it is part of the rental fee), so we vacuumed and cleaned the kitchen before we left, but no, we did not deep clean- isn't that part of the cleaning fee? 3. She mentioned that she usually has a company that comes out and cleans the house, but this time it was her doing it- that means that she never really sees what the house looks like after someones stays correct? 4. Towels are supposed to be washed before you leave- there was only 1 laundry pack provided to wash towels. We had to go out and buy our own laundry detergent (which we left there for future use). We did as many loads as we could (which was state in the cleaning directions to clean as many towels as possible). They rest of the dirty towels we collected and left in the laundry room- apparently this was not to her satisfaction. 5. There were ants in one of the rooms (the room that my husband and 2 babies stayed in). They were in our beds, our diaper bag, and suitcases. We were not going to complain about this because we understand it is rule and you will have bugs. But, since the owner was difficult to deal with, I will complain about this issue.

At this point we have 59 reviews that are 5 stars and this one review for 1 star. Hopefully that tells the entire story of this reviewer's integrity. I wish reviews like this could be removed as they are not fair to Owners who work really hard to make their properties a clean and enjoyable place to stay.

The Ladybug 2019 Gathering
The house was the perfect size for the seven of us who gathered from Illinois, St. Louis and Kansas City! We were able to make a couple of runs into downtown Columbia, which was about 9 miles away! The kitchen was perfect and the dining room table was great. We gathered in the den when we were relaxing! Strolling around the grounds, enjoying the pond and the horses who were boarded on the property was fun!! We enjoyed our stay!

This property was very clean, welcoming and comfortable. Pleasanyly More than expected!
The day before arrival the property manager/owner Katie called to let me know the specifics about the property. She also provided a detailed note of information including local restaurants. When arriving the property was so welcoming. The house was clean and very roomy. The bedrooms had nice,clean comfortable bedding. There are 3 1/2 baths which were also very clean. The property is turn key so additional pillows, blankets and plenty of towels were provided. The kitchen(open concept) and family room has vaulted ceilings and big picture windows which allowed a lot of natural light as well as full view of the pastures. (watching the horses is very calming). Due to timing we did not get to fish from the pond or build a fire outside but look forward to visiting GLENN ACRES again.

Family Get Together
The Farm house was ideal for our recent family gathering. It's full of charm and a great location just outside of Columbia. We had 5 adults and 2 children with plenty of space for all. Katie was super helpful and provided lots of information up front. The large kitchen and open living room was perfect for hanging out together. We would definitely stay here again.

Very family friendly property.
Farm house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Fresh towels in each bedroom. The property was exactly as advertised. Kitchen was outstanding - fully stocked with dishes, cups, flatware, pots & Pans, etc. - and very large to accommodate our 11 guests. Fire ring was conveniently located with plenty of wood. Fishing was very good - a quick 2 minute walk from the house. Peaceful setting and plenty of places to walk. Would recommend it to everyone!~

Peaceful and relaxing!
We had a total of 10 people (6 adults, 4 teenagers) staying at the Glenn Acres Farm. We had plenty of room inside the gorgeous farmhouse. Everyone enjoyed fishing! The kids caught a lot more fish than the adults and loved every minute of it! We brought some of our own supplies but the fishing closet was well stocked with more poles and lures for everyone. Our evenings were spent relaxing on the porch or out by the ponds watching the sunset. We also had a fire in the fire pit a few nights to roast marshmallows. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Great house, property and host.
Great experience. Host was very accommodating, ensuring that we had what we needed. The internet was down, so she provided work-around. Having two ponds all to ourselves for fishing (with all fishing gear in the house) was very relaxing (many fish caught). The horse boarding added to the experience, as owners were frequently riding their horses for exercise or rodeo training. The large porch, great room, and dining area all were conducive to interactions during our multi-family gathering.

Our entire Family enjoyed the peace and quiet property we stayed at, Katie was a outstanding hostess, the house was in great shape, smoked a 12 pound brisket caught some fish in both ponds including a 5 lb Cat, and a couple smaller bass that we through back! Really enjoyed the property as we fed some of the horses and got to meet a woman who boarded two! Thanks and look forward to our second trip out!

This home made the wedding weekend fantastic!
What a beautiful home and property. The whole family was able to stay in one place with plenty of room. Much better than cramming everyone into hotel rooms. The grandchildren went fishing everyday. They even rose early enough to go fishing the morning of the wedding. The grills allowed us to cook steaks for everyone including the groom's family with plenty of seating. Everyone enjoyed the large fire pit. The bridal party came over after the reception and enjoyed a relaxing evening around the fire pit. Be sure to bring your own firewood. A modern kitchen and fabulous great room with a fantastic view. With modern meeting country farmhouse, this home is extremely comfortable and cozy. We will definitely stay here again.

Sweet place for a large group!
Our family stayed here in January, and we absolutely loved it. Plenty of room for all 8 kids to run and play (indoor & out!) and for all 6 adults to hang out, play games, or have quiet time. Nice large kitchen, lovely view of the horses outside (kids LOVED that), and awesome fishing ponds!! Our kids enjoyed them even though they were iced over! Such a nice quiet location, even though it’s so close to a busier area. We would highly recommend this home to anyone! Cheaper per night than getting hotel rooms for a large group!! :)

The house is so spacious. Plenty of bedrooms & the kitchen is so well stocked. We are horse & outdoors people so we really feel at home here. The mornings begin with hikes & visiting the horses. Love all the outdoor space. We will be back!

Great weekend
This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Glenn Acres and plan to go again next year. It is perfect for a group of college friends to get together. It's not far from town but quiet. It has plenty of space for our group of 9. We love the fire pit. I would recommend this property for any group

I can't add anything to all the superlatives. Just a perfect stay for our family of all ages. However, I do want to add a special note to Katie's 3 y.o. daughter Emma to thank her for her welcome and her generosity to our 3 y.o. granddaughter. It was a joy to watch them together. She obviously has learned from her mother to share this wonderful farm with others. The only other addition is advice to bring a pair of old shoes since the area around the pond can be muddy.....unless you plan just to sit on the porch and enjoy the views.

Clean and Comfortable - Country living but very close to town.
This was a great place for our family to stay and we would do it again. The house had everything that we needed. Well appointed kitchen. Big deck. Large great room. And the fishing was good too. This is a working horse farm - so there was activity - but nothing that interfered with our great weekend. Katie was very accommodating.
