Here's what guests are saying about our peaceful lake front cabin located in this ''special place'' on Spoon Lake just twenty minutes to the West Glacier National Park Entrance:
Sep 6 2024 "This was our second visit to this cabin, and we cannot recommend it enough! Convenient location, beautiful view, stocked with so many kitchen essentials. We caught tons of fish and it was warm enough to swim in the afternoons."
Aug 5 2024 "Everything about this stay was great; the location, the cabin, the lake, and the owners. Such a neat experience, we didn't want to leave!"
Sep 18 2024 "This little cabin had all the touches to feel like home - from a well stocked kitchen, to beach towels, to chairs in many places outdoors, it felt well thought out and very easy to enjoy. The location is ideal for exploring West Glacier but also is very close to Columbia Falls for services and restaurants. It’s the perfect place to start and end the day! Cabin itself is small but has everything you need. Bed is comfy, water is hot, and everything is clean. We took the boat out but mostly enjoyed watching the loon from the dock. Neighbors are quiet. Thanks for sharing your space…. Definitely recommend!"
''The wildlife has been something to behold! Seven Black Bears, two Mountain Goats, Deer and the majestic beauty of the Loons! We will never forget.'' Carl & Lola
Get away from it all and relax! Aspen Shores Cabin is only 20 minutes from the west entrance to Glacier National park, Twenty minutes to Glacier International Airport, thirty minutes to Flathead Lake...the largest natural lake west of the Mississippi and just minutes away from the small towns of Columbia Falls and Whitefish.
Our non-smoking property is ideal for groups of 2 to 4 people and can accommodate up to 5 people. We have WiFi and a streaming TV monitor on a stand with CD/blue-ray player for your use. Experience Montana in this cozy cabin on the lake. Spoon Lake is a beautiful and quite lake with abundant wildlife. Relax under the cedars on the hammock and listen to the loons call. Fish from the private dock and catch perch, bass, sunfish. Swim on a warm afternoon, pick huckleberries or take a hike on forest service land. Relax as you watch the sunset across the lake.
The cabin is located on Spoon Lake, right off the North Fork Road and only a few minutes from the western park boundary. Our location offers convenient access to all the hiking, fishing, rafting and recreational spots along the North Fork of the Flathead River. From your base at Aspen Shores Cabin you can set out and explore. Hike the national park trails and take in the stunning beauty of Kintla and Bowman Lakes in the less traveled portion of the park. Barbecue on the gas grill or warm yourself and play games in front of the elegant Waterford gas stove after a fine day of hiking, shopping or exploring. Climb the stairs/ladder to the cozy bedroom complete with king bed and two twin beds, or open the queen sleeper sofa in the living room and sleep right in front of the glowing fire. In the fall enjoy the colors of the turning tamarack trees while watching the wildlife prepare for the coming winter.

What Guests Have Said:
June 17, 2014 The cabin was amazing!!! We couldn’t believe how much stuff there was here for us in the cabin. Would love to come back here for sure!! The loons were so pretty to listen to in the morning. Thank you for everything! Very Beautiful! Mallory, Charlene, Gregory – Williston, ND
July 8, 2014 Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us! We are a family of 5 (2 teens and a 12 year old). The cabin was perfect. We spent time both in the park (mostly West side) and here on the lake. The kids loved to swim and paddle around the lake! We saw one of the loons floating along from the porch one day! Going to the sun Road was open, and we loved it! We were above to hike Avalanche Lake, visit Lake McDonald and stop at many of the spectacular falls and vistas along the way. We hiked on snow packed ground in our shorts and T shirts at Logan’s Pass. There were people sledding, skiing and building snowmen. Some who were in flip flops or sandals were regretting it, though. The weather has been beautiful (75-85 degrees) and no rain. We are headed to the East side today to stay at a cabin. We hope to visit Two Medicine, Many Glacier, and St. Mary’s. Thank you again! Amy and Brett – “Chicagoland,” IL
July 25 2015 We had a great time here at the cabin. We were impressed at how well stocked the cabin was. Even bear spray! Wow! The loons were great fun to watch and the kids loved the rowboat. It was wonderful to have a comfy place to come to after a rainy hike. We didn’t see much wildlife on this trip. There was a bald eagle flyover at Lake McDonald, a few other birds, but not much else. I was impressed that you had filed guides and binoculars. This was such a calm, peaceful place. We didn’t want to leave. ''I love this place! The lake is so peaceful and good fishing too! It took a while to find the spot but we found it and caught a mess of fish (5 Trout, 1 Bass, and more Perch and Sunfish than I can count). It's beautiful on the lake and I hope I can visit again someday when I have kids.'' Alan G.
''We experienced abundant wildlife at the lake: Loons, Mallards, Hares, Osprey, and Hummingbirds. The family of Loons greeted us every morning. We can only hope that your stay in Montana is as memorable and spiritual as ours has been. We are saddened as we pack our belongings because this is truly God's country.'' Sincerely Travis & Katie
''We had such a great time here-you made us feel right at home. The cabin is so clean & comfy. This little corner of the world is truly paradise. The lake, the cabin, the whole setting is just so peaceful & relaxing. We can't wait to come back.'' Wendy & Eddy
''Spoon Lake is a dream. Beautiful views, enchanting Loons, heavenly scents in the air and the sky seems so big! Thank you so much for providing such a lovely cabin & for sharing your piece of heaven. We had a new adventure everyday but particularly enjoyed returning here.'' Mary, Greg, Alexis & Conner

The cabin view over the lake was gorgeous. Our stay was wonderful. Would recommend the property to anyone. It was a second stay the only thing missing was the firepit.
Beautiful lake, secluded location, close to Glacier National Park. Property was as described. Hosts were great at communication and helping to make our stay as nice as possible.
Our stay was wonderful. My kids loved the lofted bedroom and the board games. We spent almost all of our time outside and it was nice to come back and have a calm quiet space. Thank you for allowing us to stay. Would recommend and go again.
This was our second visit to this cabin, and we cannot recommend it enough! Convenient location, beautiful view, stocked with so many kitchen essentials. We caught tons of fish and it was warm enough to swim in the afternoons.
My husband and I loved the cabin on the lake. The location was perfect and only a short drive to Glacier National park. After a day in the park, it was so nice to return to the quiet and peace of the cabin and lake.
We had a lovely stay at the cabin while visiting Glacier. It had everything we needed to prepare our meals, the bed was very comfortable, and the lake was beautiful. The area is calm and quiet. We would definitely return.
This was the perfect stay foe our boys. They enjoyed catching perch and bass on the lake. We loved waking up and having coffee on the small.porch! Great location for Glacier exploring!
This was our first time in Montana and it was wonderful! The cabin was perfect - we had the rowboat, hammock, and grill to make the evenings perfect. It was cool and rainy during our stay so the fireplace was amazing! The kitchen was fully furnished, so it was easy for making all our meals in. We were only 20 mins from the west Glacier entrance and were able to get in plenty of hiking. We were so sad to leave and hope that we can return again next year. We were so relaxed and truly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was utterly charming, and the lake was serene. It was just what we needed for a quiet getaway. Perhaps what I loved most (beside the loons!) was how remote it felt, yet how close it was to Whitefish and West Glacier. This is a great spot for a romantic weekend, or some restorative time away with family to key down and enjoy.
We spent a week exploring Glacier NP with the cabin as our home base. It provided a great place to rest after long days hiking. We brought a paddle board to explore the lake and (from a safe distance for all) saw a mama moose swimming with her calf. Just magical!
We absolutely loved this cabin and property! It was perfect for the two of us! We loved the beautiful lake and we took the boat out one evening and caught some perch! Sunsets were gorgeous! It was so quiet and peaceful! We would absolutely recommend this cabin and hope to come back someday!
Had a great time. We never left once we checked in. Everything we wanted was right there. The kids caught fish. We enjoyed the row boat and relaxed. There were neighboring cabins but everyone was there for the same reason and it was very relaxing.
5 stars! Owners, cleaners and neighbors are fabulous! Highly recommend the property if you have a small family or couple. Thank you for a wonderful time! :)
Very clean, cozy cabin with great views and a terrific location to the park. The boat and fishing gear are an extra lovely perk that was appreciated. A/C works well upstairs, ample hot water for a couple of people to shower. The stairs are not a problem for anyone able-bodied. Heads up that there is no oven in the cabin and the refrigerator is a hotel room sized mini fridge. I would say “kitchenette” versus “kitchen” but there is a grill outside to help and it’s really quite lovely.
My husband and I came to spend our honeymoon here. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The dock was our favorite spot and we really appreciated having the paddle boat to utilize. We would 100% come back and stay. It was just us 2 this time around but I definitely recommend for a family as well.
My husband and I enjoyed a relaxing vacation. The view was gorgeous, the cabin cozy and the lake stunning. We enjoyed fishing and drinking wine on the dock after long days of hiking in glacier. Thanks so much
We truly enjoyed our stay in this remote, quaint cabin on Spoon Lake. We loved waking up to the Loons on the lake. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see them as hard as we tried. It is perfectly located right before the glacier national park. If we had stayed longer, we would have taken vantage of the row boat and the fishing gear.
Thanks for sharing your home.
Nice spot for day trips to Glacier, very cozy little spot on a quiet lake. Appreciated the amenities and grill. We did lose power for half a day after a storm, it was nice that they included tips on how to handle this. Wi-Fi provided by the neighbor whom we met and was very nice. The rowboat and dock were a family favorite as well
This cabin was perfect for a small family getaway to Glacier NP and the surround. The lake is wonderful for swimming, using the provided rowboat or just enjoying from the dock.
The cabin contains everything you will need though, while there is a stove-top, microwave and grill, note that the kitchen does not have an oven. The loft is great but would definitely describe the access as a ladder more than stairs.
Overall, a fantastic place and 10/10 would stay again.
