Colonial Building

The room was spacious and comfortable with useful amenities. Access was easy and we never had cause to contact any staff. Parking on the street was difficult to find, but the location was central and we could walk to most places.

We stayed at the Monastery Hotel three nights (July 1–3). unfortunately our overall experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the restaurant. The food quality was poor, and the breakfast was very limited and not worth the price. It did not meet the standard we expected from a hotel of this type. We also requested daily housekeeping, but our room was not cleaned as requested. In addition, the bed sheets did not appear to be very clean, which was concerning. Overall, we did not feel a warm or welcoming sense of hospitality during our stay. With better housekeeping, improved food quality, this hotel could provide a much better guest experience. Benji Chu

We stayed for 5 days, had an awesome stay and enjoyed St John's. The housekeeping service was superb Marina K surprised us with a rose made from a towel one day and an elephant the next day. She was very friendly. My husband 's birthday was on the 10th of July and when we returned after our excursions, we were greeted with balloons , a birthday card, a nice bottle of water and some desserts for his birthday. Very thoughtful and considerate. We will definitely return to the Sandman hotel in St John's again. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. July 6-11th.
