"Whilst the property is not new, it was well kept and there was no musty smell. Kitchen utensils were sufficient and clean. The kids enjoyed the daily animal feeding and the staff who were conducting the animal feeding were very friendly. Amazing view of the stars at night on a clear night. Overall an enjoyable close-to-nature stay at discovery parks."

"We absolutely loved The River Resort. Great location, easy parking, lovely ambience and an easy walk to the main street. We arrived later than expected and after the check in closure time but Reception staff had it all organised and bar staff knew exactly what to do. We ate in the main bar/restaurant and the food was excellent - in fact we ate there twice over 3 nights and that is something we never do as we always like to share our money around town. On our first night there was live music in the back bar and the performing artist was fantastic. Room was very spacious as was the bathroom and loved the window seat in our room, was a nice place to snuggle up and hang out on the cold nights. The only issue was some odd noises that seemed to be coming from a room above and we were sure there were no rooms above us - husband thought it was clanking pipes, I thought it was footsteps and furniture being moved but it stopped at a decent time in the evening. Could be staff quarters above us. Certainly no issues with any noise from the pub/restaurant but it was June/winter so not as many patrons outside. The noise didn't distract from the overall ambience and we would definitely stay here if we are in Margaret River again."

Cosy and picturesque home away from home

"We had a wonderful weekend in a picturesque and peaceful setting. The home was as described, we loved the many windows which allowed a for an incredible view and wonderful light coming in. The home had everything we needed and a wonderful warmth. The surrounding property was a beautiful escape in the rolling green hills, cows and many lovely birds. Loved the garden too! "

"We want to say a huge thank you to Grande Escape Resort for making us feel super welcome and enjoy our 2 night stay. We enjoyed chatting with the receptionist Linda, the manager Bethany, and the other staff members too. The dinner we had was delicious and highly recommended. The rooms were clean and consisted of everything we needed, and we enjoyed exploring the grounds and taking pics of the beautiful nature surrounding the rooms. Highly recommend!! "

"This place is amazing!! From the moment you drive in to this incredible property you seem to switch off and relax. The hosts are very welcoming and the villa was amazing and has got everything you need. We loved the cleanliness, great spa and the little touches like quality soaps and sprays to make the place smell beautiful. We didn't want to leave. If you want to de-stress and relax, this is the place. We'll definitely be back!!"
