The location is very good. The room was clean. Staff - friendly & helpful. Free parking for my rental car. And on this particular day I got a good room rate on Expedia, which was key.

I liked the location. Staffs were polite & helpful. There are good bars & restaurants in walking distance.I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Breakfast is good. Restaurant is clean but need to update the main kitchen appliances.

I had booked reserve now pay later option through Expedia. But I was surprised that the hotel tried to charge my credit card even before I landed in Sri Lanka. Fortunately the card company didn't;t process the payment. However, the hotel insisted on me paying the full amount (10 days) during check in. The hotel is more interested in charging everything than on providing guest services. The breakfast which charges USD 10 is unimaginative and poor services. If not for the location surrounded by restaurants and pubs, I wouldn't suggest this hotel

STAY AT FAIRWAY HOTEL
THE HOTEL IS SITUATED IN A VERY CONVENIENT LOCATION. ROOMS ARE VERY NEAT AND CLEAN. ALL THE STAFF FROM LOWEST TO HIGHEST ATE VERY DECENT WELL MANNERED AND WILLING TO HELP. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. BUT.... THE BREAKFAST FOR ROOMS BOOKED ONLINE WAS SEPARATE ON THE TERRACE AND IT WAS TERRIBLE. NO VARIETY. IMPROVEMENT NEEDED.

All in all a great place to stay and located well for Galle Face. My family are Sri Lankan and what struck me was the ridiculous prices for Tuk Tuks outside the hotel, one offered a ride for 1,000 rupees, but reduced to 800 when i laughed. The ride if you walked to the main road and grabbed one would be 300 to 500. So that annoyed me. The food choice for breakfast was somewhat disappointing. They do not serve full English or even half English. The hotel itself is pretty basic, very clean and the staff will go out of there way for you, which is why i rate them so highly. It was a much lower cost alternative to the major hotels in Galle Face, but I am glad we stayed here and I would stay again. Well located to access the Galle Face Mall and all it has to offer, 15 mins walk or 15 minutes my Tuk Tuk. The hotel is tightly packed in between a plethora of buildings and can be difficult to find on the little one way single car streets, but s said it is in a great location.

Great economical stay in Central Colombo
Had a good short stay at The Fairway with the family. Hotel is very centrally located in Colombo. So, quite convenient. Breakfast was included, but don’t expect the typical buffet you will find in other hotels here. The hotel is good for short, economical stays within a budget.

Perfect Spot
We stayed here for 1 night after landing in Colombo before taking the train to Ella the next morning. Very clean and comfortable. Close to the train station and would recommend.

Nice modern hotel in great location. Close to Fort Train Station and Bus Terminal. Plenty of eating options nearby. Good place to start a visit to Sri Lanka.

A really nice hotel. It is close to ministry of crab and Ceylon spa and lots of eateries nearby as well as transportation. We stayed here specially to go to ministry of crab. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the price is reasonable. It is 1 hour away from the airport which is a bonus too.

I only stayed here for one night before my flight and it was the perfect spot- steps away from the Dutch Hospital complex and walking distance from a range of well-reviewed restaurants. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was quiet and spacious and the sheets were the softest I've ever had in a hotel!

Nice hotel well located witth plenty of dining options nearby. Excellent staff. Reception area is bery small with seatong for perhs 6 people and no other waiting area or lounge if you have a late flight well after checkout. Rooftop bar/cafe is good however the main course I had was far to small leaving me hungry, something I have rarely experienced in Asia.

A very good hotel in the centre of Colombo. Excellent service and price. Both the ground floor restaurant and roof top Bistro and bar offer very good food choice with a friendly smile. Would recommend this hotel to young and old.

The best thing about the Fairway is the location in Colombo Fort just behind the Dutch Hospital. It is very good value for money and offers a reasonable degree of comfort for a short stay in Colombo. There is an addition to the hotel that is currently under construction which includes a pool, which will be nice. The rooms are comfortable- ours overlooked the Dutch Hospital and the World Trade Center. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were a bit soft for my liking. There was relatively few surfaces to put things down- the writing desk is tiny. It also doesn't have a power outlet that can be used by a laptop or a mobile phone charger-these are on the bedside tables- rather strange! The bathroom is fine but has a funny sloped vanity around the washbasin- a bit hard if you want to put out toiletries. The staff are pleasant and helpful and interact very well with guests. The one real negative is the lack of a proper restaurant- the 'food court' where the buffet breakfast is served just isn't very nice. And the Java Lounge coffee house next door has terrible food- a very poor selection even for a morning coffee or muffin. We would definitely stay at the Fairway again as it is so centrally located and offers good accommodation at very reasonable prices.

Efficient, modern hotel, centrally located.
Located right next to Dutch Hospital so very convenient. We had a room at the back of the hotel, so no issues with noise but can see why other reviews comment on potential noise at the front.

The hotel is very well located, clean, modern and comfortable. However, there is a nightclub in the same building that causes vibrations until the early hours (we were on the 4th floor), and on that basis would not stay here again. The breakfast is quite good, but replenishment of stock can be rather patchy. Despite having our do-not-disturb sign up on the door, we were also disturbed after midnight with a room service delivery for a different room.
