"The hotel format is that it has a few rooms for rent and "reception" is managed by a local security guard. Overall the room was clean, it had hot water boiler, tv, blow dryer, and a ceiling fan. The location was ok, especially if you are looking for Western food as it sits above a Subway restaurant (no smells or noises got trough from that), it was some 15-20 minute walk to the Galle Face Green."

"We stayed as a family of four in a 2 bedroom apartment at Halahouse. The apartment was spacious and was clean with bed linen, towels, kitchen utensils, etc provided for. The apartment is very near a supermarket, bakery and many restaurants (seafood, etc).Getting transport (tuk-tuks) from Galle Road was very easy. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Next time we are in Colombo we will stay at Halahouse."
