We stayed here for a South Haven-based extended family reunion weekend and were grateful for an excellent stay. The host went the extra mile with cleanliness and providing amenities like starter containers of toiletries, plenty of paper products, laundry pods, and plenty of clean extra linens - the details that make a stay away from home easy, pleasant and comfortable. Girls Trip

Property was perfect for our weekend getaway, loved the big table in the dining area and the comfy couch in the living area. The deck area is very nice and can fit a lot of people to hang out. The house is older but seems very well maintained (minus a few small things we let the host know about). The house is within 30-45 minutes of a lot of wineries and breweries which is why we chose this location. The beach was only 2 minutes away which was super nice. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

Relaxing weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. There was a little hiccup when we first arrived but was taken care of the next morning. The house was in a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and playing some outside games. The water smell would be one thing that I would recommend improving on.

Sweet little house

This is a sweet little house in one of our favorite neighborhoods. A short drive to Hagar Park for beaching and sunsets and a great yard for roasting marshmallows. The house is quite spacious for its size and there are 2 spaces for hanging out: off the kitchen and the living room. Beds are comfy and the couch in the living room is big enough for everyone to watch a late nite movie. Thank you for sharing this house with us.

Location, Comfort, and Quiet

The house is just a few minutes from Hagar Park so walking the beach at sunset was easy, and oh, the sunsets over Lake Michigan are not to miss. The manager was very quick to answer all my questions. The house was comfortable and stocked with everything we needed for cooking. We hope to return for our next family get-together. The neighborhood was very quiet and I felt safe as I looked for birds in the mornings. There was quite good bird habitat in nearby wooded lots actually.

Great spot near the beach

We had a fantastic stay here! The layout was great for our family of four plus a dog, and we really appreciated the fenced-in back yard! Located just a mile from a great beach and a short drive into a charming little town, this house was the perfect spot for us in a quiet neighborhood just off the highway. The host even left an extra leash and some dog treats out for our pup! The house had everything we could have needed...plenty of bath towels AND beach towels, beach toys, beach chairs, lots of equipment in the kitchen, toiletries in the bathrooms, extra bedding, lots of pillows, board games and puzzles...so much more than most hosts do these days! We would definitely stay here again.

Wedding weekend

Four friends visited the area for an outdoor wedding at 12 corners winery. Perfect location for everything we wanted to do this weekend, The Livery in Benton Garbir, St Joes for the farmers market and silver beach, the winery for the wedding. The cottage home was perfect with three bedrooms and two baths. Everything was comfortable. Communication with the owner was very timely. We would recommend to others

Well kept spacious property

Property was as advertised, the beds were comfortable. Communication could be improved, did not receive any information until an hour before even after calling the previous day and said she would send info right away. Nice gas fire pit on back deck and another with wood off the deck. Kitchen had pans, spices, etc. No hair dryer or iron. Please note, it is well water.

Close to beach/wineries

Very easy check in and check out process. Inside of house was decorated and furnished well. Very comfortable couch in the living room and streaming services already downloaded and logged in upon arrival. Very quiet neighborhood, and very close to our intended activities (beach/wineries). Would definitely stay again. Only one issue, that was the smell from the water(sulfur) was a little unbearable at times. Definitely bring water with you. Again, not a deal breaker for us, just something we noticed. Also, the outside of the house looks like it needs landscaping, grass cutting, maintenance around the chain link fence. Definitely needs “curb appeal” work. Outside of the house doesn’t match the inside. Overall, great stay, five stars.

The house was comfortable. It is an older home but is clean and relaxing. The layout is a little strange with both bathrooms side by side, but it was not a big problem for us. The host was excellent about communicating. It would probably be great in the summer because there is a fenced in backyard with outdoor furniture, the beach is very close, and there is a playground for the kids nearby. We were there in a snowstorm, so we didn’t need any of those things. It was reasonably priced. Overall, a nice stay.
