The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Good Covid awareness. Room was dated but good for price. Electric shower was hot with enough pressure.
The main road is very quiet at night so room was quiet.
Full English breakfast was well sized and well cooked. It came with cereal, toast, orange juice and tea or coffee.

Staff very nice but old, creaky, noisy floorboards & thin walls meant you heard every move & conversation in adjoining rooms so no peaceful nights sleep. Very dated rooms & felt Covid in safe. No hand sanitizer in dining room despite communal coffee, milk, orange jugs. Whole place didn’t feel clean enough.
There was nothing I didn't like. the food was excellent infact that goes for every thing I have no complaints what so ever about anything, A first class and more than enjoyable stay, Thankyou to all concearned.
Stopover on way to holiday destination. It’s clean and a warm welcome.

Good place for lower price visit to Coldstream
The hotel is a bit dated and the rooms are fine, but could do with a bit of redecorating or some refurbishing. It is well located for walking around the town and would make a reasonable base for a few days in the area. The new manager was very friendly and helpful; being bothered about the comfort of our stay. The breakfast was fine - cereal, toast and cooked breakfast - so, whilst not a lot of choice it was definitely adequate. the coffee was very good.
A friend and I stayed one night at the Castle Inn in the lovely town of Coldstream. The inn is a proper older-style hotel with bar/restaurant downstairs - it isn't a corporate or chain hotel type of property which gives it a lovely charm. The rooms are quite small and the stairs are a bit steep, but the facilities are very comfortable and mod-cons such as wi-fi are available. The staff were excellent and I highly recommend the breakfast. Whilst in Coldstream, take the opportunity to have a walk through the village and to the bridge over the River Tweed, one end of which is in Scotland (the Coldstream end), the other in England.
Not a great hotel the room in our opinion was not up to standard at all . It was very hot in the room due to the radiators being on full belt and couldn't be switched off ,we were given a fan out of the kitchen that was covered in grease and the window would not stay open. We left a day early as we could not stand the place . A real shame as the local area is very buitifull ,
Room was very small and very dated, not somewhere you’d book unless as a last resort and being told we’d got it at a cheaper price kind of raised the old eyebrow! You’d need the neck of a giraffe to was the tv!
