(1,077 reviews) Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the grand. Staff were really friendly and the hotel is beautiful. We stayed on New Year’s Eve and they had a jazz singer performing in madeleine’s bar downstairs which was lovely for drinks before we headed out. However, there were a couple of issues. The room was very cold and no matter what temperature we set the AC, it wasn’t heating up. There was also an issue with the key cards not working for rooms so we had to keep approaching hotel staff to be let into our room. Finally, we requested late checkout, which was accepted, but half an hour before we were meant to check out a member of staff knocked on our door to tell us we needed to check out. I explained that we had requested late checkout and he was very polite and apologised for the communication issue, but I was disappointed by the disorganisation nonetheless. Regardless of these issues, we still had a great time and would stay there again.
