Area felt safe, very good food & service in the hotel. Staff couldn’t be nicer! Need to walk for other dining options & tourist sites.

I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Rio Guayas! The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made me feel truly welcome. One of the highlights was the stunning river view from the restaurant absolutely unforgettable. The hotel feels luxurious, with beautiful artwork and elegant decor throughout. Illa Experience Hotel is an absolutely beautiful property with both historic and modern elements. Our room (a second floor suite with views of the charming street) was incredibly spacious and well appointed. Indeed, the entire hotel was renovated with thoughtful details. The service was off the charts... seriously - the kindest, most helpful staff ever. They went out of their way to make our stay a pampered one - from accommodating a late check out to sourcing needed medicine in Quito. And the view from the second floor bar of the hills and the Angel of Quito was breathtaking. What a treat!
