Cozy Cottage with stunning views of Stover's Cove.

"We felt very comfortable in this cottage and especially enjoyed the recent construction, the spacious feeling, large windows, beautiful view, and wonderful location. This was our first visit to Stover’s Cove and Harpswell. We had stayed on Bailey Island a few years ago while visiting friends there. The even quieter atmosphere of Harpswell suited us perfectly, with its beauty, tranquility, history, and great food. Of course, Pammy’s Ice Cream was one of our favorite local treats!Everything guests might need was provided. It felt as though the owners had taken the time to "put themselves in their guests’ shoes.""
Coastal Retreat Near Beach w/ Ocean Views, dog friendly !

"The property is very nice. Unfortunately we were in town for a funeral and not a vacation. We needed a place to stay for 5 adults and this fit the bill. If we were to come on a vacation, I would definitely look up this property and give it another try. The house is very nice, new-ish, well appointed, and very clean.There are a few maintenance items that should be addressed. The door to the first floor bathroom does not latch shut. There is a small leak in the basement dripping near the washer. Not sure if it is a drain or tub leak from above. Couldn't figure out how to use the air fryer/toaster oven. it wasn't intuitive and there was no owner manual (as so much of the other appliances had). We did get to walk the beach. It was so nice and not too busy. Note that if you walk to the beach from the house, it would not be good for a senior with balance issues. Could easily twist an ankle or fall. Remember to not walk down the road by the house. It is someone's private road (as we were warned by the owner). The trail to the beach is along the property's black fencing. If you need to drive down as we did, the road is narrow and hard to find. Two way traffic is not easy so if you use something other than all-wheel drive you could get stuck.All in all, I would recommend this rental. We did not bring pets so cannot judge from that perspective, but I can say that you couldn't tell that pets were allowed (No smells or damage or dirtiness.)"

"This was our third visit to this well designed, well built, and beautifully situated cottage. We found the kitchen to be well equipped, and the property was very clean overall. The only thing that I would ask for in a future visit would be a larger TV."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our time at Sunset Cottage and can’t wait to come back! The location and views could not be beat - we spent most of our time on the spacious porch overlooking the coast. The kitchen was well equipped with new cookware, dish ware, and appliances. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms had plenty of outlets for charging all of your devices, which is not always easy to find. There were only 2 of us but this could easily sleep 4 adults comfortably. Overall this was a wonderful experience!"

"You can't beat the view! The owners have done a beautiful job remodeling this home. There is a lobster pound nearby and a nice pot in the house to enjoy your lobster dinner. The hiking trails in the area are wonderful. We had a memorable week and we hope to visit again. "

"Orchid Harbor is a charming house located in one of Maine’s beautiful coastal areas. There was lots of room inside and out for our use. It was very comfortably furnished and had many touches that harkened back to days gone by. (I discovered a stack of old magazines, many of which were Women’s Day and were published in the 1940s and 50s and cost a whopping 2 cents!) The spacious lawn in front was right on the edge of the water and with picnic tables and plenty of chairs provided, was a wonderful place to enjoy it. A beautiful secluded back lawn with tables and chairs, fire pit and grill was a welcome surprise. We loved every minute of our stay."
