Cloverdale Citrus Fairgrounds

The room that we were given on the second floor at 9:30pm was an uncleaned DayUse room full of wet dirty towels and smelt of spicy sleep. They "upgraded" us to a room with a balcony and full kitchen. By 11pm we got in bed in the new room to find the sheets are still VERY damp. Unfortunately the stove smells horribly of burnt food and half the burners don't work, 1 even cut out WHILE COOKING. The oven smells horrible when turned on for use. The keycard reader on the door resets or something because i had to get a new key every day. The power went out while getting ready for work on the 2nd but somehow some electricity was still surging as my microwave lights worked and spun but did not cook. I'm very upset at how much money was spent on things that did not work and we did not even get to relax. The communication was strictly kept to email as the phone stopped working and became dismal and spread out with no true responses accepting accountability. I have pictures and videos to back my claims. I request full recompence, thank you.

It could be an excellent location except it is in a fairly unsafe neighborhood. Guests need to be aware that the Embarcadero Cove, shore, and walkway are public property and not well maintained. The rocky shore area is a great view from a distance but close up there are cigarette butts, bottle caps, etc. More importantly, there is a homeless camp on one end of the property. It was wonderful having a patio with a water view and it provided beautiful sunsets but it was also overlooking a sad homeless situation. Guests need to be specific with the front desk about what room they are given. I would stay again if I was given a room on the other end and if I was not planning to spend any time on the shore itself. Closer to the hotel, off the public pathway, the grass and flowers belonging to the hotel itself are colorful and well-maintained.
