Stayed at the Westwood for a week while attending a conference at the University of Galway. I've not complaints about the place or the staff. Indeed, I quite enjoyed my stay there and would certainly consider staying there again. This said, there are two things I wish I had known about before deciding to stay there: (1) Unless you have your own vehicle, you're largely dependent on bus 404 or taxi to get to/from the city centre (it's a good 50-60min walk each way); and (2) there's no food/drink options in the immediate vicinity by other than a Spar. This said, the food at Kelehan's Bar & Restaurant, which is about 1.5km further up the N59, is superb; as are the pints.

Attended a wedding here in April 26 and had the best wedding meal and breakfast the next day was equally as good. Went back for a short stay in June and was not dissapointed. Everything about this hotel is top notch.

About 10 minutes from the tourist town center, your own private spot in the beautiful pastoral scene overlooking the mountains.Super clean, really nicely appointed, wonderful host who made sure we always had continental breakfast amenities and clean towels, spotless!
