This two-story home is wonderfully located near downtown Clinton, where it sits on a double lot at the end of a quiet road. The woods approach the house on one side and a large, open lawn awaits on the other. It's a fantastic location for finding peace and privacy, yet you can also get out and explore easily. Deer Lake Park (one mile), the Clinton ferry (two miles), downtown Langley (seven miles), Sunlight Beach (eight miles), and Double Bluff Beach (11 miles) are all close by. Begin and end each day outside on the deck, a serene spot for morning coffee, lunchtime picnics, and evenings spent stargazing in Adirondack chairs. The home's interior showcases the great outdoors as well, offering plentiful windows, views of the sound, and an abundance of sunlight throughout. The main living space upstairs brings together an open living room, dining room, and kitchen, all with views of the surrounding property. A second, enormous living space awaits downstairs in the den, a great spot for playing board games, Atari, or movies on DVD or streaming services. A host of special amenities are even provided for kids, including toys, books, a baby gate, a booster seat, a high chair, and a Pack 'N Play. There are three bedrooms upstairs, including a primary suite overlooking the water, and one bedroom downstairs. Bonus features of the house include a laundry room and complimentary WiFi. Every time I enter, I feel instantly at ease. I say that without exaggeration: The moment you walk through the front door, you feel the sense of comfort and peace that pervades this home. It's become my happy place. Particulars: \* Space! You can bring a whole family here (we had eight of us for one visit), and you will have \*ample\* room. This is a wonderful place to enjoy fun family time with dinners and games, but also have enough space for teens/kids/others to go watch a movie and/or have their own space. The downstairs room is just perfect. \* The view! Goodness! We've stayed many places all over the world in our years, and the view here is something you just can't beat. Watch the ferries come and go. Look for deer and fawns. Count the number of bunnies. Admire the sunrise over the Northern Cascades while you drink your coffee in a comfy chair. \* A huge yard! Kids can run free while you sit peacefully on the deck. And, the house is well off a (very quiet) road. No kids? Just sit and read a book on the lawn while you listen to the sounds of nature. \* Close to everything. It's about a five-minute drive to Clinton and the ferry, and just a little longer for other close, cute towns with tons to do, such as Coupeville, Langley, Bayview and Freeland. There was plenty of room for all of us. 6 adults and 3 kids. We really appreciated the room set up for kids, with a lot of toys, space and the TV. The pack 'n Play came in handy for the almost 3 year old. The house was well set up with kitchen equipment, bedding and plenty of towels. We had just a couple minor issues but nothing that hampered our fun. The proximity to a public beach was good with a nice beach for play and exploring and a play park, as a bonus. We loved the view! Great location, quiet, plenty of space, deers wandering around 2\. Basement was a great space for infants. Lots of toys and books to engage them for a couple of days 3\. Plenty of utensils for a couple of days 4\. Spacious bedrooms Negatives: 1\. Outdoor deck was not cleaned. Spider webs all over the outdoor chairs. 2\. Indoor furniture was dusty as well. 3\. Glassware was not clean 4\. There was a crack in the living room ceiling that seemed like a water leak, and what looked like mold around it. 5\. TV does not support streaming, only DVD's. Not a big deal, but if someone wants to watch TV, they dont have too many options. 6\.
