CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT Check-in: After 4:00 PM EST Check-out: 11:00 AM EST No early check-ins or late check-outs unless approved in writing. 2\. NON-SMOKING PROPERTY This is a strictly non-smoking / non-vaping cabin. Smoking is permitted outside only. If smoke odor is detected inside the cabin after departure, additional cleaning charges will apply and may result in forfeiture of the security deposit. 3\. PET POLICY (Dogs Only – Prior Approval Required) $75 per pet fee. No cats permitted (sorry). Pets are not allowed on furniture. Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately. All pets must be treated with flea/tick prevention at least 3 days prior to arrival. Pets that cannot be left unattended if they fret or bark consistently if left alone. Additional guests use sleeper sofa, futon, and rollaway beds. Rates are based on 6 guests. Additional guests over 6 people: $25 per person per night to cover the additional cost of hosting a larger group. Only registered guests are permitted on the property. No large gatherings or events. 9\. MINIMUM STAY 2-night minimum 3–4 nights during peak or holidays Holiday rates may apply 10\. HOUSEKEEPING No daily maid service. Linens and bath towels provided. Soap and Shampoo provided Please do not remove linens from the cabin. Soiled dishes must be placed in dishwasher and started prior to departure. Black makeup towels must be used for cosmetics. A starter Paper towel is provided and fire pit lighter or matches are not supplied, for safety reasons. 11\. PARKING Maximum 7 vehicles. Park only in driveway. No parking on roadway. Illegally parked vehicles may be towed at guest’s expense. 12\. HOT TUB RULES No children under 12. Use at your own risk. Do NOT stand or jump on cover. Replacement cost for damaged cover: $600. Set temperature to 75°F at checkout. 13\. FIRE SAFETY Do not run A/C while gas fireplace is on. Fully extinguish fire pit before leaving unattended. No trash thrown into woods. Secure garbage lids with provided bungee cords. 14\. WEATHER / ROAD CONDITIONS No refunds due to weather or road conditions (alternate dates may be offered in travel warnings are issued). Mountain roads are very well maintained however, you may require 4WD during winter months (Dec–Feb). Travel insurance is strongly recommended during snow months January/February. 15\. QUIET HOURS Quiet hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM Noise travels far in the mountains. No outdoor music or loud gatherings at any time. 16\. ELECTRONICS Please do not unplug or alter TV/ROKU wiring. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a large group. We had plenty of space and the kids (and adults) thoroughly enjoyed the game room. We had a peaceful dinner on the deck as we enjoyed the beautiful views. I can't say enough about the host, Mr. Craig. He made sure that check-in went smoothly and we had everything we needed. Plenty of room for us though 3 women in the kitchen is always crowded. Not much outdoor space for kids to play but they had a blast in the basement. Cleveland and Helen have some nice restaurants. This was an amazing property. Cabin was clean and beautifully decorated. The views were the best!!! There was no comparison to what they call the scenic drive. View from the many windows and balconies were so much better. The game room kept all of us entertained every night after our many fun dinners in the town of Helen. The kitchen was well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and gated. It is in between Helen and Cleveland. We enjoyed playing air hockey and shooting pool. The hot tub is small, 2-3 people. This property had everything we needed! The views over the mountains were just beautiful. We used the hot tub every day and enjoyed the view from there! Kitchen had everything that you could use to cook. Game room downstairs was lots of fun. Bedroom loft upstairs had a beautiful view of the sunrise over the mountains every morning. We slept in the loft, which was spacious & beautiful. We had rain 3 of our 4 days. We spent time in the game room & enjoyed playing ping pong, pool & fĂĽĂźball. We even went into the hot tub in the rain & enjoyed that as well. There are many positives, however, It is rustic & dated, but clean (except for dust on the various antique collectibles). The lodge is not easy to find. It is a treacherous ride to the lodge- you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive to safely drive there (& leave!). The coffee machine is old and needs to be replaced. It takes 3 starts to get a full cup of coffee. It is much smaller than expected- no more than 6 people can comfortably stay here. The kitchen is beyond tiny. It’s obvious they worked hard to maximize space for the 5 bedrooms, but the rest of the living space is very small. I have never seen a porch where you walk out the back slider (from dining room)- right into the hot tub! Incredible! (Once we were able to see them - it rained the entire weekend until the morning we had to leave!) The owner was fantastic and his communication and directions were top notch. I note just just a couple downsides -- the cabin was very dusty and the living space is smaller than it appeared in the listing. The views were great! Kitchen was aptly set up and we enjoyed the firepit. The bedrooms were great and as described. There was updated internet and USB chargers everywhere, which is a plus. Ping pong was just fine. Plenty of towels. Fireplace worked well. Needs improvement and updating; pool table is in need of replacing. Air hockey is in need of replacing. We made it work. It was still daylight when we checked in, so we were able to view the property easily. My husband and I took the master loft. The bed was so comfortable. The view of the sunrise every morning from our bed took our breath away. Kitchen is a little small for our family of 8, but we maneuvered around it. Enjoyed the hot tub the whole week we were there. A little dissapointed that the grill was replaced with a blackstone griddle, but we made it work. We cooked for every meal either outside or in the kitchen. We never had to waste our budget eating out. Our kids are 15-22, and they enjoyed the game room every night. Our family of 8 had such an amazing time. We definitely recommend this cabin for your stay. The couple of times I had questions for the owner he responded in a timely manner and made sure our needs and questions were taken care of. ##### Tiffany P. The cabin is well repented and the descriptions are spot on. The mountain road is gravel and intimidating to us non mountain people but we were totally fine and pros by the end. The parking spot at the top of the road is big enough for a full size SUV (Buick enclave for us) and the driveway has several other spots that are convenient to the cabin door. The cabin has everything you could ever need in the kitchen and we enjoyed the black stone flattop so much we are getting one now too! Two rooms and a bathroom in the mail level and tons of room in walkout basement. Decks on both levels is also a big plus! The loft room is as it sounds, open to the living room below and open to sound and light. I packed an eye mask to be safe when that sun would rise before I was ready to start the day. Glad I did but…I got up many of the days to watch the sunrise because it is truly sensational!!! Wow!!! I’m not a morning person but it was too beautiful to miss. The views are incredible and we saw deer and a little bear in the wooded area along the mountain road. The cabin is close to Helen and Cleveland which was nice for groceries and dinner. About 10 mins to either location. Checking in and out was super easy and communication was very timely and professional. This is an owner that takes pride in your stay and has the resources to be sure you are more than 100% satisfied. We loved our stay and felt very much at home. ##### cheryl k.
