About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Private retreat at the waters edge of one of NE Ga premier trout streams.

Wine Down the River is a beautiful 4 bedroom cabin on almost 7 acres of peace and quiet. Sleep to the sounds of the babbling brook, let the kids play in the creek and have amazing adventures on this beautiful slice of heaven. Bring the dog! He'll have as much fun as the kids.

This cabin literally sits at the water's edge of Towne Creek. You could almost fish from the porch! One of the premier trout streams in Northeast Georgia it is stocked annually so you are almost guaranteed to catch a fish.

Perfect for extended families or couples looking for thier own space while enjoying time together. Wine Down the River is a 4 bedroom 2 bath with 2 completely separate units each with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room and a kitchen all leased as one rental. The upstairs is slightly larger, has the better kitchen and larger bathroom.

No matter the season there is always something to do. Whether its the mountain laurel and rhododendrons blooming in the spring, playing in the water in summer, leaf peeping in the fall or quiet of the winter this is a soothing place for the soul.

Should you decide you want to venture out we are a short drive to Helen, Dahlonega and Blairsville. Helen's Alpine Village boosts tons of quaint shops, german restaurants, zip lines, river tubing, putt putt courses and wedding chapels. Helen's Oktoberfest runs September - October and is the longest running Oktoberfest in the United States.

Dahlonega was the start of the gold rush and has historicial significance in the development of these mountain communitys. With a revitalized town square, the upscale restaurants, shops and festivals really can't be beat. Visit the Consolidated Gold Mine and travel 200 feet into an old gold mine or try your hand at panning for gold and gems. Visit the Smith house for amazing all you can eat southern cooking served family style at your own private table. Be sure to check out the General store where you never know what treasures you will find!

Blairsville is about 45 minutes through curvy mountain roads with beautiful vistas. Home to many festivals including the Scottish Highland Games, Sorghum Fest, Mountain Music and Moonshine. Christmas is a special time with the town all decorated for the season. the festival of trees. You'll think you've been transformed to a Hallmark Christmas movie with all the parades and santa sightings.

If hiking is on your agenda, Duke Creek Falls, Helton Falls, Anna Ruby falls and several others are scattered throughout and moderate hikes. Raven Cliff Falls has a beautiful 5 mile moderate trail leading to the waterfalls.

With so many ways to enjoy your trip you'll want to start planning today.

The cabin was well stocked with needed supplies, roomy and was very comfortable for a group. The kids throughly enjoyed the creek and the ambiance was relaxing. Communication with the host was responsive. We definitely recommend this listing and would love to return in the future.

Spring Break
We enjoyed our time at this cabin. The property was beautiful and the cabin was clean and inviting. Fantastic porches for swinging, playing card games, or listening to the river. There was a hot tub on the property listing, but not one actually at the cabin.

Best weekend trip ever!
We had a big group and we all enjoyed the beauty of this property. One of the best spots on the creek we’ve ever stayed at. Will be doing it again and hopefully will be able to stay even longer! Perfect!

“Peace” was the perfect getaway!
The property was beautiful and the creek very relaxing. Being centrally located between so many fun mountain towns, wineries and restaurants - we were also able to stay entertained. The home was warm, welcoming and very well kept. We felt both at home and like we were able to truly get away for the holiday !

Loved being right on the creek, plenty of room for 9 of us, close to all three towns we went to see. Found a great BBQ place about 6-8 minutes from us. Had a great time

Nice and Quiet
If nothing else, the sound of the river was worth it. It’s a nice quiet place, and feels like you’re all alone in the woods. We enjoyed having the fire pit, the grill, and the view, and we enjoyed having the time with the family. If you’re a hot dog/hamburger kind of guy, it’s perfect. If you want to try and cook something more refined, you might be a bit disappointed at what’s in the kitchen. We didn’t do fancy food, but had to use a gallon ziplock to make twice baked potatoes bc there wasn’t a big enough bowl, but enjoyed the challenge.
