Check in and check out was a breeze. The room was pet friendly so our little shitzu was totally welcome. We had a view of the marina and restaurant. The bed was super comfy and there were two tv’s as our room had a separate area with a couch and tv as well as one by the bed. The fridge was stocked with local brew (for a fee) but nice on arrival after a long drive from the ferry. It was raining while we were there so we didn’t use the patio but if it had been dry I would have enjoyed morning coffee out there. There is also free laundry facilities which helped us dry out some of our wet clothing from the rain. I would totally stay again and recommend to a friend. The cox bay beach is therapeutic. The property was extremely clean and the cottage I booked was well equipped with all the basics. The folks at the reception are really friendly and will give you the right information about anything you need. Only thing to note is that the resort is on the Pacific Rim Highway about 10 mins away from town, so you will either have to drive or take the bc transit shuttle, if you want to go to town for other activities. Also, the resort does have a restaurant on premises, but there are restaurants /cafes available in the adjoining resorts which are 1 min walk away. Overall, I had a wonderful stay, would highly recommend this resort!
