The cabin backs up to the Kaniksu National Forest and many miles of dirt roads and trails for hunting, hiking, 4-wheeling, motorcycles, side by sides, horseback riding, bike riding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling with a warming hut up the road. Access right from the cabin to many trailheads like Goat Mtn, Scotchman's Peak, Morris Creek and several lakes. Lake Pend Oreille is only 7 miles from doorstep to boat launch. Schweitzer Mtn is a 45 minute drive, the town of Sandpoint about 40 minutes. Very close to Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. The accomadations were beautiful and clean, with a fully stocked kitchen. There was plenty of firewood for a winter campfire as well. Cant wait to come back here! ##### Julie L. Host very friendly with good communiation and was super accommodating as we arrived earlier than expected on checkin day. Clark Fork is a very quaint town with gas, grocery, restaurant, liquor, etc. Clark Fork pantry is a "must stop" for a huckleberry danish (to die for). Centrally located to many options for a day trip activity; we travelled up to Kootenai Falls and the suspension bridge one afternoon. Beautiful country, at this cabin you are off the beaten path but not so much so that you feel isolated from the world. It would have been nice to have had something other than a futon to sit on in the living area, but not a deal breaker by any means. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat. ##### DeAnn W. Everything went as planned. We met our hosts Tom n Shannon and shared some stories and learned a thing or two about the area. Loved the area so much we’re putting full court pressure on our spouses to possibly move up that way. They have a dog named Spencer and he became our best friend whenever we were on site.
