"Very nice linens on the bed and towels in the bathroom. Very clean room. Our room did have a desk light that was inoperable and I left a note for housekeeping. I was disappointed that there was no longer breakfast as a part of the stay, as in the past. Granted there is a 25% off coupon for breakfast in the restaurant in the hotel, but it wasn't what we were looking for, so we walked down the street to a close good breakfast restaurant. The front desk staff is also excellent. Great location. Free parking."

"My family rented this cabin for a week in Aug 2026 and there was more than enough space for the 15 of us to spread out and never feel cramped. Located on a quiet stretch of Lower Post Lake, it felt at times like we were the only people on the whole lake. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a vacation of this type. Six bedrooms - two of which had bunks and a bed for the adults. The kitchen comes with all the cooking utensils you would find at your home, and there was an additional fridge in the basement, so keeping perishables cool was never a concern. There is also a nice collection of kayaks, canoes, a firepit and hot tub. We brought our own wood, but there was wood there too. There is also plenty of parking and a cul-de-sac for parking the boat trailer. We used the boat launch on Upper Post Lake which is located just on the other side of the channel from the property about a 10 min boat ride away through a no-wake zone. If you are looking for a quint essential Wisconsin vacation with post card views from the deck, look no further. We would 10/10 recommend this place and we are very thankful for gracious hosts like these who make memory making on vacations like this possible."

"We had an excellent stay at the River Chalet. It was just what we expected. The pictures were very accurate. This is a very spacious house with a dining room with a table that seats 12 people. This was a highlight for my wife to eat dinner every night with our children and grandchildren. It has a main level living room and a walkout finished basement with a family room and game room. One of my grandsons caught a 40”musky, his first and a smallmouth bass just out from the house. The yard was large with plenty of room for yard games. Every night ended with relaxing around a fire. This was a very fun filled and relaxing stay. I would recommend this for anyone looking to rent a house. We like to visit new places, but I could see us staying here again. For anyone looking for a VRBO, book the River Chalet. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Layne for everything!"

"We loved staying here the cabin is absolutely amazing also the lake and property and I hope nothing changes just such a historic place. Everything was as listed we didn't need anything. Was easy to get a hold of Kurt and Ellen for questions. Also extremely dog friendly being secluded. Would highly recommend and can't wait to stay again. Thanks for sharing your amazing place."

"We really enjoyed this property. Very unique and private. It was advertised as river front but the path to it was not kept up so you couldn't reach it. Very thoughtful as they had games and dvds and puzzles there. Super clean inside. Would love to come back."
