We had a brilliant stay in Laurel Cottage. The cottage was beautiful, clean and cosy but spacious and finished to a very high standard. Well stocked with amenities and the location perfect for a Cotswolds stay. We loved the pub just down the road and the village shop/cafe for coffee. The information was really thorough before getting there and also gave some good local tips / things to do. We loved our stay.

The perfect Christmas getaway
We stayed at Laurel Cottage over Christmas 2024 and we absolutely loved our stay. It was the perfect location for other destination towns around the Cotswolds and the cottage itself had everything we needed! The bedrooms were the perfect amount of space for the 5 of us, and our dog absolutely loved lying by the fire on a cold evening. We made a full Christmas dinner in the gorgeous farm-style kitchen with no hassle at all - fully stocked and had everything at our disposal. We cannot wait to visit again - we loved it!

Beautiful cottage
The cottage was beautiful with gorgeous furniture and soft fittings however the cottage needed a deep clean and the bedding hadn’t been ironed.

Beautiful, clean cottage
Lovely cottage, renovated well in a great location. Mattresses and linen are all excellent and we were impressed with how immaculately clean it was. WiFi worked well, the knives in the kitchen actually sharp.
With reading the tips in the welcome folder for what to do in the area

A perfect cottage stay
We loved staying at Laurel Cottage and would happily return as soon as possible.
The cottage is beautifully decorated, with so many extras we weren't expecting (board games! books! guides to the area!), along with an incredibly well-stocked kitchen. The scents and pepper (real pepper!) were stand-outs in particular. Water pressure was excellent, and beds were very comfortable. The cottage is set up to encourage a relaxing stay, and we loved every minute.
Minor, minor points for improvement:
- No heat mats in the kitchen (we didn't want to damage anything given how great the kitchen was, so would just suggest this to keep things safe!)
- Smaller shower-head needs some adjusting
- Kettle may need to be de-calcified, but this is minor and lemon did the trick for us.

Short Break at Laurel Cottage
We had a great stay at Laurel Cottage which was in a peaceful Cotswold village. The cottage was of a high standard and well equipped. However the furniture in the garden at the rear had not been cleaned in ages and was full of bird droppings so was unusable also had it been usable there were no cushions provided so hard and uncomfortable too. This was disappointing because the weather was good and couldn’t sit outside. Also the shower in the bathroom particularly the shower tray was in a terrible state full of black mould everyone had to use the bath instead and the plug in the bath was faulty not sealing properly. The plug in the sink was also full of black mould and gunk not been cleaned. Unfortunately all of this spoilt our stay somewhat. Tried emailing housekeeper but email address given didn’t work neither did the password in the book work for the internet. If these things were to be fixed I would highly recommend the cottage.
