It was hard for her to get up and down the front steps and there wasn't always parking right in front (this would apply to any place we stayed with her, though). I thought that the apartment was spotless (although my mom spent most of her time cleaning invisible messes), the shower actually had some pressure, the kitchen was well stocked, and it was right on a street with plenty of fun shops and restaurants. It was just a block away from the downtown restaurants which was great. Unfortunately, the place was filthy. The bed linens had hair all over them. The dishes in the cupboards looked like none of them had been cleaned. There was dust on everything and the floor seemed to not have been swept in a while. We pulled back the fitted sheets and the mattress cover was black. We contacted our host who reassured us we would get a refund. Now he has ghosted us and won’t return any messages.
