Rundown old hotel. Staff is all from other countries, who know nothing about the area. Gym is rundown needs to be completely updated. The equipment is garbage! They charge to use the gym & additional charge for a towel! Also Queen street where the front desk sent me feels like you are in the middle east! Food was terrible!!!

Clean bathroom and towels and decent breakfast but the hotel is in need of a scrub from top to bottom - it needs investment to bring a once great building back to life. Entrance is uninviting and scruffy. The great hall needs softening and the rooms need updating. Heating did not work. Very dusty and tired. Staff were polite but seemed a bit embarrassed

"Disappointed I didn't receive an email to let me know that major roadworks where taking place directly in front of the hotel. The roadworks started at 6am and finished at 9pm. I did receive a message but this would not open after several attempts."
