When the afternoon staff were called to ask the correct address, the young staffer argued with my wife that him helping her was not his job. The hotel misrepresents its location as family-friendly. It is in the adult entertainment area of busan City. Very cramped alleyways poor lighting obnoxious drunks and other issues. On the bright side, there were complimentary condoms in the room, coupled with a sign posted on the window...

"호텔 이용 시 불편함이나 청결상태 등은 문제 없었음. 기본에 충실한 호텔이며, 26년 3월 초 현재 사우나 및 피트니스 센터 무료 이용이나 웰컴과일 등의 서비스는 좋았으며, 주차장 무료 이용 및 대중교통의 접근성은 좋았음. 다만, 내가 묵었던 호실(1205호)은 히터소음이 너무 커서 외출할때 켜놓고 밤에는 꺼놓았음.(연박이였다면 룸교체 요청했겠지만 1박이라 요청안함) 그리고 사우나 이용 시 라커 이용이라던지 시설 이용에 대한 안내문 등 안내가 아직은 부족해 보였음. 낮은층의 프리뷰라면 맞은편 건물 사무실뷰가 될듯하고(사무실 책상 등 다 보임), 개인차가 있을 수 있겠으나 층별 5호실부터 13호실 까지는 호텔과 붙어 있는 나이트클럽으로 늦은 시간까지(새벽 2\~3시) 소음(웅웅거림)이 꽤 거슬릴 수 있음. "

"The Lotte brand is generally reliable, and this Lotte Hotel location was no exception. For any reviews of it being an older hotel, the staff keeps the rooms very clean and comfortable. I had the best sleep here out of five months of travel because of the bed and the quiet. The hotel amenities and dining are geared more toward business travelers or if you’re mostly interested in shopping and drinking. You’re going to have to take a taxi to go anywhere interesting. The staff didn’t seem like they get many international tourists, but they were all very polite. Also, not many casual dining options. No restaurants open during check-in time. You can get room service, which was actually very good, but restaurant dining is rather formal with very specific hours. If you must be in this area, this is a solid choice. Otherwise, I would recommend staying in Haeundae."

My wife also detected a smell in the bathroom that was possibly in the grout and was cleaned in the second week. The electronic blinds did not go all the way down nor did the external clothes line. The bed is on the softer side but queen sized. Fridge and other appliances are clean. Closet space could use more hangers. The building is located in a bustling side alley with lots of food options as well as all around the rotary. It’s less than 3 mins from a subway entrance. The elevators are a bit slow for the size but reliable. The lobby is sparse but no complaints. The rooms attract dust quickly which may be due to the season and us sleeping with windows open but just be aware. There is quiet a lot of noise if windows are open due to its location and it being Korea, but there is no noise from other units. All in all a good affordable base option if you need quick connections to other parts of the city. Well recommended! "
